I take it, that Sarah riding the 250 2 stroke didn't go over well?

So I guess this answers the question we have been posting to pro's. Even with females, they like the 250 2 stroke better than the 250F. Just sad. Don't let the riders ride what they like best, just force them to ride the other one that OEM's want. sad

Two-stroke 250s still faster than 250Fs.

They saw red! lol

I guess big red saw defeat and cried again? Wasn't the WMX =cc rule IN PLACE already?

We don't ride bikes ourselves, hate the machine that built the foundation of your favorite sport and are blatantly doing everything we can to crush it for our profit. Someone's not making freinds are they? I know too many racers that will never buy a certain brand again. ...just another nail.

DC, I'm messing with you, so don't get mad. Wink

So what you are saying, is that a 05 retro 2010 YZ250 is faster and better than a new and tech advanced brand spanking new 250F all built up by a factory racing team?

Yes, that is the reality of it. CC against CC the smoker wins every time regardless of displacement size. We cant have that, the smoker is not a money maker, so off it goes into the history books. So let it be written, so let it be done.

Ahhhh, progress.

Why is that all of the sudden an issue now??? Sure didn't seem to be a problem when the 250F was allowed to race in the 125 class, was it??

I was still holding out hope that clearer heads would prevail and the cc for cc rule would be accepted at all levels eventually. This shows that it is still headed in the wrong direction. Why can't they level it so people have a choice? Do we really care what we ride as long as we are competive and we can afford to race?

No shit sherlock!

It's why the exist to begin with...
Power to weight to CC is unbeatable.

At least make the rules "fair" if you not going to give the two stroke clear advantage (aka 250 vs 250)

Why hasn't the 150 rule been adapted for pro racing in the 250f class? I mean if your even a smidge willing to consider a 250 vs 250 rule...a 150 v 250f rule seems like a no brainer.

And PLEASE lift the rules on how that can be acheived...aka boring AND stroking should be legal. That way a truly "correct" 150 can be built.

Same with big bike class...if your not going to just leave it "open" class, let it at least be a 300 two stroke...where boring AND stroking as allowed.

A 250 two stroke that's more square would allow it to rev higher...and make more power. While it would be more of a light switch for most avg joes...who cares...it's their discretion.

I just figured it out. Of course the 150cc rule isn't even being asked. Why would they ask something that may pass? If they stick with teh 250cc vs 250cc, they know it will never pass. Of course.

Dont try and use logic now in the last few posts... your'e starting to sound 'cRaAazy'! lol

OK. Let me get you guys back in line here...

Heavy slower more expensive bikes are good for the sport.
Anything that caters to letting the fox(AMA/big 4) run the henhouse is good for the sport.
Not listening what the fans want to watch and race is good for the sport.
Sweeping MAJOR handicaps for inferior tech is good for the sport.
Forcefully eliminating the affordable preferred choice from the very racers that are the core is good for the sport.

The 'sport' is the big 4. drink the kool aid slooooowly, very sloowly... that's good. Just a liiiittle more now...
I need to find a new 'sport' to watch. GP/GNCC maybe.

You two stroke die hards need to get over it. Most of the OEMs don't even make new ones anymore!

Even more reason to let them run CC vs. CC.

It's OK, the truth is out about it.

If the 4 strokes are so good then they should welcome the challange of CC vs. CC racing, until then it just looks like they are scared of being embarrassed.

Whos scared? If the AMA allows the rule then Yamaha and KTM are given a distinct advantage, unless other teams are going to start riding several year old bikes. Of course Suzuki, Kawi and Honda are going to fight it.

I am actually surprised they passed it for Amateurs, the number of Yamahas at the tracks has gone up significantly since the rule IMO.

Ummm, Yamaha is the only one who had the YZ400F. They didn't fight the rules at that time.

That would be cool, though I'm sure she would rather ride a 250cc 2 stroke vs. Fioleks factory Honda.........

Oh, crap, so it wasn't even the 250sx they were worried about. It was the 150sx. Guess that answers if the OEM's are scared of the 150....

Suzuki and Kawi still produce them...they just arent imported here in the States. All theyd have to do is start sending their 2-strokes here again. The bikes would sell at the dealers, too. The only one that may not have this advantage would be Honda.

No, she was originally planning on riding the 250. The 150 was a follow-up idea.

Sorry, but Sarah was the only one really doing the 2 stroke thing. Them knowing she was probably gonna ride a 150sx, tells all.
