My OGIO 9900 is probably 15 years old now and is in need of replacement. I have a 9800, and while it makes a great suitcase, it isn't half the gear bag that my 9900 is.
Unfortunately, OGIO hasn't made my bag of choice for a decade or so. Can anyone recommend a gear bag that:
1) Has the cavernous storage space of the 9900.
2) Has completely separate compartments for the helmet and boots to keep the dirt from getting on my clean gear.
3) Is built to OGIO quality standards (I have 3 OGIO bags that are over 10 years old and the zippers still work).

I thought I was alone in this world with the thoughts of what will I ever replace this gear bag with
Ogio, bring back the 9900!!

I would look for used one, worth the hunt.
Rig 9800 = 7500 cu inches
Rig T3 = 8850 cu inches
@quadzrule - i've been lurking around here for a bit and if you're who I think you are i'll send you a DM on Insta, i might know someone that can help with a bag

I originally had a rubbermaid bin but when we had to gear 2 or 3 peoples stuff in one vehicle it took up too much room. I loved the rubbermaid because on the real dirty days i could just hose it down inside and flip it upside down to dry.
That being said, the Albek Meridian posted above looks like a great option and looks to be even larger than the OGIO Rig T3 and 9800. Looks like the one I'd be willing to try for the price.
I dont use the boot bag or the helmet bag from the T3... so its sort of a waste for me.
I would Ebay a 9800 for around 150-200 shipped. Good luck.
My last ogio bag got chewed through by mice when I left it in the garage for a month one winter. I couldn’t find a good replacement so I bought a van.
Jokes aside, try hockey gear bags. A lot have spots for skates and helmets with lots of spare room for other stuff. Some have wheels and aluminum frames too.
Little birdie told me there may be a 9900 replacement coming very soon....

9900 replacement here? My black one I got in 05 or 06 is practically faded white and has a couple small tears now. Best damn bag I've ever had... Possibly the best product I've ever owned in general.
Yes, the Dozer was based off the original Rig 9900 design. Top loading, 3 seperate compartments.
Ah, there you go. I've been looking for a new bag, myself. I have a feeling that Dozer will cost more than my helmet, though.
So my old trusty 9800 went with me to AZ to ride last February and I'm waiting to board my plane watching the luggage go up a conveyor and into the plane storage.
I see my bag loading to go up and am excited but then it hit something at the top of the conveyor and falls all the way down to the pavement?!? It took the hit and broke off some plastic parts but my helmet inside was undamaged and the wheels still work. Perhaps time for a replacement but OGIO bags are solid!
Let me guess the Dozer is going to be....$600?
Maybe I'll wait to pull the tags off the new MSR 3 compartment bag I just picked up. $125 is hard to beat though.
$299 for the dozer

9900 was literally 9900 cubic inches and The Dozer is 8200. That is disappointing. Several missing features as well and it is obviously not meant to be one of the "premier" bags.
Looks like my replacement would have to be the Rig.T3 setup for max capacity, or perhaps just deal with the 9800. Maybe I'd like a separate boot bag more anyway? For now I'm just going to run the 9900 into the ground, but that might take another 17 years.
The video above makes the dozer look huge!!! Way bigger than my 9900 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
New RM/MSR bag is 11,200 cubic inches. Maybe I'll just keep it for now and try it out. Probably not as well built as the Ogio but we'll see how she does.
I've got a blue 9900 from 05 if anyone is interested
