Guy on the left is Cyril Porte. Also won SX125 main at 15 just after wrapping the 125 French Junior championship. GREAT talent. Had a 4th place in West coast SX at Seattle in 1993. Here battling Honda rider Mickael Pichon. The two hab incredible battles in 85cc, which Pichon won, but Porte took his revenge the year after in 1990, spanking everybody in Junior 125cc. Had good years in GP but not what he was meant to do, and then became a FMX Pionner. Still to this days one of the most beautiful riding style ever.

Andrew McFarlane RIP not pictured, his bike #860 at ,
I believe his first AMA MX race, Binghamton 125 class 1997. Maybe a better web sleuth can find an action shot from that weekend or Steel City the following week.

This is a great thread. Might be hard to believe for the 30 and under group, but there was a day when Suzuki RM's RULED the local Motocross tracks.

This is from an ol scrapbook, 1975 Cool

DeCoster and Dungey.

Although RD5 didn't race pro one a 125, he has LL Schoolboy title to his name in 05. Just as the transitions to four strokes happened and he's of age to turn pro, he never had an opportunity to race a 125.

Just to debunk any urban legends about The Man watching a young Ryan Dungey audition on an RM125 for a highly coveted factory ride. Unless someone has those lost tapes? lol I kid Wink

It took until the 7th page to get Dungey and JLAW.

Brian Myerscough was such a natural talent and was smooth as butter.
His gear was always top notch, him and Jeff Jennings were Style Kings in SoCal in the late 70's early 80's.
