Laughing Of course it was, duh, my brain is a bit slow tonight! That is the only logical explanation.

From what I have read on victory sports website, Heath Harrison was the first to launch it this weekend and by the end of the day most the pros , top vets, and b classes were hitting it.

Wait, that was easily a 100' gap. You mean to tell me, that to be competitive, a "B" rider (and a vet) has to commit to hucking a 100' jump? Cool vid, but damn, this sh*t is getting out of hand.

you aint kidding. One of my last races I was near the lead A/B double drop and I have 3 guys pass me over a 90' or so triple that I have never had one inclination of doing after seeing some of the carnage on it. Now i focus on my kids BMX racing and not my moto anymore.

But its 4-strokes that's killing the sport, right?

No doubt they are playing their part, but I've been stating for years that the tracks are damn goofy. Local tracks that cater to 10% of the riders versus making them safe for the 90% that are paying the bills are not doing themselves any favors.

I'm not saying that is the case in the video posted above but having people jumping over others heads as other have pointed out makes for some sketchy moments.

I couldn't agree more Newmann.

Sorry OP, I didn't intend to turn this feel-good thread into a rant against the current state of amateure mx, nor did I intend to make it another 2-stroke 4-stroke debate (I ride a YZ250, BTW), however, when bobby397 said that "B" and vets were doing this jump, it struck a nerve. It also continues to justify my decision to steer my son away from competitive riding. I know I'm not the only one, either. It should speak volumes when fathers, who grew up racing, don't want to pass the legacy on to their sons.
