Nooo! Canard out for Southwick

Edited Date/Time 7/7/2017 1:20pm
Just saw on RacerX that Canard is out for Southwick after crashing this week in practice or testing. Bummer he was looking pretty good in those two races.. it's been said a lot but the guy cannot catch a break.

I guess he's all good just banged up and will be back for Millville.

I venture to say the poor guy has caught far too many 'breaks'

When will it end. He's like the Tommy Searle of AMA MX/SX. He's got a good ride with KTM and it's sad to see him not reach full potential.

Well in order for it to stop he need to change the way he rides. He doesn't seem to be willing or capable of doing it though

KTM PR department has the press release locked and loaded at all times. All they have to do is change the date each time.

Roger better mount up a pair of training wheels on that pumpkin before he lets Canard ride it again

I feel for Trey but this is getting ridiculous. There has to be some element in his riding style or racecraft that causes these constant crashes and injury. Figure out what it is and fix it, or hang it up while you can still make the decision to do so. Dungey goes 10 years with two injuries and Trey can't go half a season without 3 injuries.

Gee and I thought he crashed more last year...seems this year he crashes every time he gets on the bike (yes I am slightly exaggerating)

Sucks, but give him credit, he is a tough mofo and not a quitter.

Truly sorry to hear of Trey's latest troubles. I wish nothing but the best for him and all the guys that entertain us on Saturdays.

But since kkawbro brought up the bubble boy, I just couldn't resist.

Is it that he crashes a lot or is it that he hurts himself when he does? I mean, some people just don't bounce as well

Not sure how long his deal was with KTM but if it was for one year this is sadly going to be the end for him.

Exactly. How long before it's something he never recovers from.

I can't believe this. I don't even know what to say any more. I guess the only thing I can think of at the moment is " Heal up soon Trey...and hope to see you back out there " .

Time for a job up in the booth, i think his personality would be good for commentating, he's got a good sense of humor.

it could be that hes had one too many head traumas and his reaction time isn't where it needs to be, kind of like JS. It's their choice, but damn.

I can't tell if he's really unlucky getting hurt all the time or lucky af he's not had a career ender yet. Either way heal up dude. Great rider and person but there is more to life than crashing your self into submission year after year.

The thing I don't understand is that his riding style is so smooth! Almost Windham esque but I guess he just pushes past the edge too often. But take someone like Jason Anderson, he is wfo and all over the place, he looks like he is about to crash his brains out at any given moment and stays relatively healthy.

In these 2 races I think trey proved he still has elite speed, his finishes we're not too shabby for a guy coming back from injury. He ran up front then faded a little at the end as you would expect. . . But he really needs to have a Adam cianciarulo type year next year or nobody will take a chance on him again.

Just show up for the races. Stop practicing.
Not a good idea but what's left?
7/6/2017 4:04pm
When was the last time Trey made it through a season healthy? 2010 I guess? Is that the only year he made it through all the races? He's been hurt every year since and I'm pretty sure he got hurt in 08 and '09.

Just bummed for the guy..

So, master racer...since you know, how should professional racer & factory team rider Trey Canard change the way he rides a dirt bike?

Come on, tell us...
