OK.... now would be an appropriate time to let the excuses fly. I mean you could wait until Mon., but i think the timing is good in this case. Just trying to help out!

lol
i'm certainly an American ,but i think it's a bit early to gloat?
umm,,
anything can and usually does happen at a MX des N
( we lost big in 99, with a formidable team of laracco, windham and RC)

The french and australians have a pretty strong team,,
you notice the scores right?
if one of the USA guys falls down, and another have some troubles ,,
all quite normal MX stuff, and we could not podium , much less win.

while i think we stand more than a fair chance of winning it,,
i'd wait a day and after the checkerd flag flies to pop the champaigne, much less brag.. Wink

my two cents, pence, dracma, or kopek

Don't make us seem rational, we are "arrogant Americans" Wink

Does anyone have any insight on the Stewart/ Villo battle tomorrow?

First of all, lets give major props to all these great pro riders who put it all on the line for their respective countries. The GP riders are very fast and dedicated to the sport.

While I'm an American through and through, It takes but a bad crash or mechanical failure and the overall can be lost. Unless Uncle Murphy strikes, Team USA will win.

And his team mates. They are all getting a knighthood first thing Monday morning after they drop the trophy off at the polishers.

I watched some of the vid of Stewart in practice and he is focused. You can just see it in his riding...He looks really smooth also.

This should be an awesome race.

Haa, funny I was looking at this thread, the Americans are patriotic and proud. The Brits are like wise(putting it politically correct),consider themselves smarter than everyone else in the world. what an equalizer!! LOL...

Villo will represent America well. He will have a great seat for the view of the winning rider.

Someone better go check the water faucets, make sure they're not conveniently left on all night.
