That was an unbelievably gutsy ride from that kid. Ralf and Jeff made comments that Aaron was sick, and he still puts on the charge that he did, holds on, collapses after the finish, can't keep his words straight on the podium. That was a championship caliber ride right there. Hope he does it this year.
But I would still be surprised if he stays on two wheels the whole season
I just realized as I was counting the races, that with the two E/W shootouts the 250 series this year is even more asymmetric as the East has two Triple Crown races to the West with one. But additionally the West will have 10 rounds and the east 9 counting towards the titles. How will this be addressed in the pointing out rules? I believe the rules previously only spoke of 8 or 9 race series in terms of points.

What is a surprise how gritty he was when he usually seems like such a lax goofball. Putting in a performance like that while clearly in pretty bad shape requires some mental toughness.
Plessinger is a stud, hope he wins the championship and then kills it outdoors
I watched his 450B motos from Loretta's a few years ago and I thought he looked really good (not that B class matters THAT much) however I think he makes a 250F look like BMX bike and will adapt really well to the 450. From what I see a lot of top guys don't race 450s anymore and their race craft suffers once they make the jump (think Cooper Webb).
He's got the mental game down really well, granted it helps when you're winning, but his off the track attitude is beyond positive... and most off all (unlike so many guys that struggle) he looks like he's always having fun.
And i think there is a good chance he does it.

Sorry Aaron you showed everyone how to do it.
As much as I enjoy riding 250s, in this sport, the 450s are the premier class. Therefore I really don't care about a regional championship for a secondary "development" class. But these last few races Plessinger has really shown the skills that have been hyped for a long time. He's too big for a 250 but is still making it work. When he moves up to big bikes I think he'll be pretty competitive, although I think he still has some work to do on non-rutted tracks/conditions.
Remember Hill on the 450 at MEC a few years ago? Dude has some skills on a big bike.
AC is just too big on a 250 to be competitive. Time to move up, for his own sake, and I think he will do very well.
McElrath is not going to blow people away on 450s right away, but I do think he'll be in the mix right away...physically strong rider who definitely makes a point of proper preparation.
Also him an Ciancirulo will be able to bulk up a bit , they are way big for a 250 now, but the 450 can pull some extra timber.
Would love to see him take it to the big boys in a mudder!
