Noah Mcconahy went from 33rd to 13th yesterday in the mud. You may remember his picture in Pit Bits from High Point which was his to do list. It said "To do: Score Points." He got a good minute of TV time while his bike was smoking immensely. Here is a picture of the joint on the right side of the bike.

Once we got back to the BWR race shop, we realized the engine still had great compression. So, we put oil back in, and she fired up first kick! The bike died from the fuel boiling over, luckily.

Bike is being framed and new engine components are going in anyways. But still crazy to see!

Anybody ever think of weighing it before washing? That's a lot of mud!

Got a chance to meet Noah at Underground awhile back when he was training/living out at the Merge compound. He has got to be one of the nicest, funniest kids I've met, was blazing fast, but very humble and thankful for all his family was doing for him. Been watching and rooting for him since, and he's steadily improving!

Those are some great shots!

Been wondering this for a while now. Back in the late 90's early to mid 2000's , I raced against a guy a lot down at Albany MX with the last name " Mcconahy " , I'm wondering if they are any relation?

And great job Noah!

Sounds just like him! Very humble and grateful for everything that's for sure.

YES! That's him! I'll be damned. I was looking through a few old cycle news a few days ago ( the ones I saved , that had some of my older races in them ) but couldn't remember his first name , and Nick was the guy I was racing with. I did a few years with him in the INT classes and then I remember him going pro right about the time I got hurt. Glad to see it's his little bro doing so well!

Been doing it for years in the mud, pizza cutters always work well in the slop.

It is a 110/90 MX11 in the rear. And yes, he loved it out there this weekend!

Met Noah last year at Budds, he was our neighbor in the pits and took home a $1,000 Privateer award. He was pitted out of an Astrovan with the bike forks over the back seat, front wheel removed. Been following his progress since. Enjoyed speaking with him and hearing about some of his adventures coming all the way from WA state. Wish him well and happy to see that he has some additional support this year.

What happened with the chain? What kind of oil was in the bike?

Tough luck, McConhay was riding well. Derek looks like he was ran through the wringer a time or two, with only one shoe! Way to go Derek R., proud of your accomplishments!

We took off the chain when we were getting towed back in. At that point, the rear wheel would not spin at all which was actually caused from all of the mud being packed in their real tight! We run Honda HP4S for oil.

Well, while running to get the bike which was stuck in the mud at the left hander before Henry's Hill, we fell into a big hole which swallowed his boot right up! This was on the track even. We were over our knees in mud when this happened.

A few of the guys were running the screens but we were not. We used duct tape to extend the louvres which has always worked great in the past.
