Hearing through the grapevine that we aren’t allowed to bring our own beer to Red Bud for MXoN. Being told we have to purchase beer from the concession stand. Anybody else hearing this?

(GuyB note: Look for an official response below.)

Go bury a few cases now, Dig them up during the event. If your serious, it’s an option!

Just bring in a traveler bottle of Beam. In fact, bring in two. You'll be the most popular man in the pits. Buy a Coke, go to the porta can or someplace on the down low and pour out a third, add Beam. Be happy.

Forgot to add...don't turn into an ass because you're Bourbon buzzed. Maintain your cool and treat people visiting from other countries with respect. Unless they are disrespectful. Then, use your Bourbon buzz to show them what a pissed off 'Merican looks like.

Just like the Italians did with Motoplat ignitions at the Six Days in the 80's...

This is a standard So Cal national rule : 1. Bring Gatorade and lots of Vodka in Water bottles in the ice chest. Security will never check or 2. Camp the night before and bring it in, this rule usually only applies the day of the race.

If you can't figure out how to sneak alcohol into this event, you've clearly never attended a college football game in your 20sLaughing

Vodka in water bottles or bag wine out of the box ... they'll think you're cultured.

I just thought if you strap the bag to your hip and run a surgical hose ... bingo no questions asked ! ! !

Colostomy bag anyone.

Here's the word I got on it...

People can bring beers to the parking lots and campgrounds, just not to the track area. They can make a run to their car or camper during intermission if they’d like!

Relax! Enjoy the event!

FIM event so you may find they do it at Red Bud too. They do it for all events in NZ these days.

In England last year, they came by and said no alcohol. Immediately afterwards, at 7am, everyone in line opened coolers and proceeded to down as many, as fast as they could. It was a very lively event at Matterly.

Or just buy it at the concessions and forget the hassle. Personally, I don't drink at the races...I want to see the action not spend the day filling up port-o-pots.

Lol...don't get me wrong....I like to get a skin full the night before and after the race. I found the Indy Road Pub in Crawfordsville a few years back. It's my go to place since then. Packed with young to ancient. Lots of folks that helped build the track structures and really support the races. A blasting juke box that frequently demands that everyone in the place sing along. I'm talking 3 generations of families all drinking, dancing, laughing and they don't know a stranger. There aren't as many of these places as there used to be....too bad cause it's fun X10.

Necessity breads creativity. If one can’t successfully traverse ones inhibiting/personality improving chemicals across a non physical barrier, that American is not truly committed to showing the world what it is to be AMERICAN!
