Both Stewart and Baggett Sidelined

Chino, CA (Feb. 18, 2016) – Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing will not compete in this weekend’s Arlington Supercross. The team learned this week that Blake Baggett will be unable to race for next few rounds due to continued pain associated with his injured shoulder. James Stewart has also elected to continue training for a return and will sit out this Saturday’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Baggett raced the most recent round of the series in San Diego, but found that his shoulder was still very painful under race conditions. He visited a specialist once back home in California, and it was discovered he had severe inflammation of his shoulder socket.

“The extra stress put on the shoulder on Saturday was just too much,” said Mike Webb, Yoshimura Suzuki’s team manager. “We don’t have a certain timetable on Blake’s return. It depends on how he reacts to treatment, but he hopes to be back after he sits out a few rounds and gets some rehab in.”

Stewart reports he is greatly improved from the concussion he suffered earlier this season, but he feels he hasn’t had enough seat time on the bike yet to make a return this weekend.

“James wants to get some laps on the bike this week and next before he tries to come back,” Webb explained. “Right now it’s just a matter of getting laps in to get his fitness level back up to where he can feel comfortable for an entire race. He’s shooting for an Atlanta return, but that’s not set in stone. Obviously it’s been a difficult Supercross season for us, but injuries are part of the sport and we want our riders to be healthy and confident that they are ready to go before trying to race.”

Bummer. Hope they both come back at 100% and not any time before that.

What's going on with the 250 effort? Is MAD Racing also on the sidelines until Atlanta? Have they replaced Clout, or will they resume when the East starts? Do they even have a healthy rider for the East?

Not much if any. James just has a way of stringing the media along to keep himself off of the back burner. It's fine, because it's business in racing, but he's pretty predictable.

im a suzuki fan but they really need to get their shit together. no other factory team would go without a racer as much as they have over the last few years.

All the local radio commercials keep saying this race is the return of James. There's going to be some pissed off fans.

Tyler, you seem like a bright, young man with a modest amount of disposable income. Would you like to make a wager on your prediction?

Hope both James and Blake are able to race Atlanta. Saw the video of James on Racer X and he looked good and a bit slimmer then A1 in my opinion. Would love to see him compete the 2nd half for some podiums or wins.

How anyone could blame Webb for this situation is beyond me. James' deal last year was the FIM and WADA conspiring against him. Granted, if he had been riding for DeCoster, that mess would have gone away pronto. A year or two before that, he almost hit a 'random' fan dashing across the track. Really, not even DeCoster could have stopped that one. Nope, Webb isn't the problem. Webb, is just a guy getting old before his time because of things outside his control.

It was an employee who cut the track

that employee was never fired

So Racerx does an article and a video on James and James is the one stringing us along???

Right...why would the media even pay attention if we the sheeple weren't
