No MXON for DV

Edited Date/Time 9/11/2018 7:41am
There you go :

"So, I won't go to MXON in one month. Pascal Finot (Team France's manager) told me I am not welcomed inside Team France for that competition. Helping, coaching, giving advises to Dylan without being part of Team France, without being there, is not really positive to produce a great work. In a way I can understand and I accept it because I did criticize the choice of riders for the team, or should I say the non-choice concerning Marvin Musquin, who's the best French rider right now.

I think it is sad to see that the differences in opinions is more important than to have the trainer of one of the three riders by his side for this particular race, which is the most important one. There is a lot more to say that "good start, full gas, don't crash" in the coaching of a pro rider, if not anyone could coach Dylan and make him win races like he did this year.

Anyway, I'm grateful mister Bolles (French Federation president and the man who chose the three riders for MXON), mister Finot and Gautier Paulin for another week without doing anything, I'm probably just going to enjoy californian sun or something like that.

Thanks again Mr Finot, who just like always, is just transfering messages and orders from the French Federation. I can see that it is more important to be careerist and follow orders from the boss in the job these days...

And finally thanks Mr Paulin. My hat off to him for being indisputable en being the number 1 rider to the the unofficial breeder. He is the 3rd best French rider at the moment on a 450. To the eyes of most of us, he is the 1st on the paper, yeah, the 1st reservist. Bravo.

And the worst in this story is that they have high chances of victory by surfing on this success wave they've had the last few years in this competition. I never said they can't win without Marvin but that would have been less difficult with him, clear and simple.

For my part, I'm gonna do the maximum to prepare the MX2 rider of the team and so that he ends up being the first 250 in both races. Unlike some people, I don't care about the emotionnal and the ego side of things in the business to have the better result. I can understand everybody can't think that way. Clearly..."

What else would you expect from the French team, this is par for the course and how they normally operate.

Seriously.....what is the beef with these guy's? First no Marv , and now they won't even let David in the paddock to help coach his rider? But they'll let the other coach's in? From where I stand......if any French guy has anything to do with the American series , consider yourself black listed. I've dug every one of the French rider's that have come over here , so no disrespect toward's them......but fuck that country and the way it thinks.

I would think his rider can get him credentials.

That is madness. This Finot guy sounds like a right barrel of laughs.

I fully expect the USA to win this year anyway, but regardless, if France perform badly, it’s got to all be on the shoulders of this guy. No Marv and purposefully limited Dylan’s access to his trainer is full on suicidal in terms of performing at their best.

I am by no means a flat earther, tin foil conspiracy theorist..... but I do have a conspiracy theory about this whole Team France decision.. want to hear it? Ok cool here it is...

Youthstream (Luongo) pur$ueded the French federation to leave Marvin off the team this year, to better Team USA's chances to win MXdN at home - all of which is a strategic effort to increase American fan interest in the GP's, potential future USGP's, etc. In other words, The U-S-A chest pounding that would result from a win at mXdN is much more likely to generate future revenue for Youthstream than a loss.

While I mostly agree with DV, I don't know why he's calling out Paulin. Unless there's more to the story, I don't get why it's his fault. Is Paulin supposed to say no to racing the event because he isn't riding as well as Musquin? That doesn't seem fair.

Big problem in sports in general is that the federations are made up of ex-professionals. They have big egos, no education and no fu..ing idea of how to run a business or people in general. French federation is probably a fine example..

Why do you want to ruin the whole point of the MXDN? Do you even know what the MXDN is?

I'd have picked Marvin. For me and for what I've witnessed form him, THIS YEAR, he's the obvious choice.

However, France picking their 2 best GP riders is understandable. The only problem? Marvin seems soooooooo much faster than BOTH of these guys & he's shown -OBVIOUS- success at The Bud.

The MXoN is already being ruined by politics, might as well flip the people who are ruining it the bird a little bit.

I just picture these federations as some gathering of pompous assholes with massive egos and an impressive selection of sticks to shove up their rectums as they feel necessary.

The French team won’t be winning again. And this French team manager or boss or whoever it is sounds like a pussy. He’s that offended, or bitter at DV. What a bitch

Seems like Ferrandis is a bit of a coward for not demanding his coach be part of his race day ?

Let the Federation boss race if He wants to pick rider personell, what if DV was his Mechanic ?

France has the Chamberlain Trophy that it won with a BMX rider, a Motard rider and a rider that hadn’t even ridden a moto that whole season, and people question thier logic?

That's just bull shit. Paulin has helped his team win what, 4 in a row? It's not his duty to say no to racing the event. It's the French federations duty to pick the best riders. He got asked to go, to lost guys it's a huge honor so he said yes. Don't place blame on Paulin unless there's more to the story than what we're being told.
