All mini bikes have been removed from the official websites. Yami and KTM kept their models

This act is a tragedy

I wonder if the lead in those bikes over all those years really caused any side effects at all. Bloody lefty lunacy let out of the box. What next?????

There are tons of items more toxic than a trace amount of lead in whatever. All household cleaners can kill, yet chew on paint chips for a year and the kids IQ could possibly be lower. This is insane.

Not trying to stir the pot or anything, but where is the AMA on this. Arent they all about protecting our rights and all. Well allowing this law to wipe out over half of the indutry? I think they are dropping the ball.

Didnt they say they got out of promoting so they could focus on this kind of stuff?

I've wondered about that also. Has the AMA had any involvement in this situation?

The AMA has contacted the officials in charge of the CPSC and expressed concern. I don't know if they've done anything else. Certainly as a membership organization putting up a page for members to submit is a big part of what they can do.

I have a call in to the National Federation of Independent Businessmen's Small Business Legal Center. They are lobbyists. They haven't returned my call yet.

Does this affect Cobra and KTM? Just wondering. I have no idea about how some of the parts and plastics for bikes are made. It is possible that less lead is being used by other manufactures?

Cobra claims to have no lead-containing parts in their bikes and has not stopped sale.

I just talked to one of our KTM riders on the way to Whitney this morning and they said Cycle Hutt is still selling them brake pads because they just bought some. He didn't know about the whole bikes.

Thank you for the update. I am glad that they are stepping in and atleast making the effort for our voice to be heard.
