This is something I found on MXA, after checking another thread about 'How Cool is MXA?'

I guess the helmet is included according to the box, but not necessarily required...WTF, really? Great lesson there, put your kid a replica scooter, ON ROCKS, and don't put a helmet on him..... Well, I actually wouldn't use the one that's included, I would put a Bell SCX or something worthy on the little one!

They should put some gloves on him while they're at it.

As if that thing could make it over those rocks... the kid is screaming because the damn thing won't go!

Yes, VERY irresponsible advertising...

Back in the day, I worked at Specialized Bicycles, and the first UCI Mountain Bike World Championships were held at Purgatory Ski Resort outside of Durango, Colorado.

The Specialized team won several medals, and they did a win ad with the headline of (if I remember correctly) Team Specialized Goes to Purgatory, Rides Like Hell.

Hi-Torque wouldn't run it.

Personally, I find something like the ad above a lot more outrageous. I guess I don't get it.

What about the riders in sx intros that ride around without a helmet??
Bugs me every time.
Pretty irresponsible.
I even wear a helmet in the pits on a 50.
I just think its the right thing to do since kids are watching.

I wear a helmet 24hrs a day cause I just think its irresponsible not to. I could totally fall at anytime, heck you never know when you might be asked to do a staged picture on a plastic toy motorcyle that probably won't go over 2mph. If you fell at that speed damn..............

I know I've seen either RC or Reed with their helmet looped through their forearm and take a fairly quick lap around a SX stadium floor (and outdoors) after a win. Not saying that's right or wrong, just saying they are adults and can make their own decision. When it comes to a child, you teach them at a young age that they need to wear protective equipment when participating in almost ANY sport.

They obviously had to capture the kids super facial expression.

It appears to me that the scooter/bike was placed into position, the kid hops on,and they snap a picture.I doubt there was any ridding involved .Do any of you ever sit on a bike without a helmet?

Can someone tell me when the next victim movie will be on? Dad has incestuous relationship with his daughter? How about Teen boy impregnates teen girlfriend?

I mean, this is the Lifetime Network Website isnt it? Sure reads like it is.

That's not the washplug; that's the stinger on the old 2 stroke silencers!
