I see the debt collectors came and got Nate Adams Alta. Things still not good there by the sounds of it ?

Damn. If whatever powers that be, are coming to collect products from a rider that I would assume has a nice sponsorship package, things must be really dark.....

I'm pretty sure that Keefer mentioned on a Pulp show a few weeks ago that they still owe him money. He has 2 Altas in his garage and they want them back also.
It sucks to see Alta go down like this, it had so much potential (the concept still has).

Really hoping someone bails them out and keeps Alta going.. these bikes are the future!
Man going to be really tough as a consumer to spend your hard earned money on something that could literally be gone AGAIN.
I do think they are done done for that reason.. I hope not though, just the fact of opening new areas to ride and having zero issues with a backyard track is really appealing to me.
Wait until all the suppliers start putting liens on and repo orders out on all the bikes that were sold to paying customers. This is only the beginning!!!
j/k Carry on...
sucks , i started seeing guys riding the alta battery bikes around the D6 area
and they looked good

I was referring to the technology.. but had Harley Davidson partnered with them like was originally planned it would be very different.

Is anyone still selling these bikes and what has the prices been ?
yes, there are a few dealers that have them that were selling them as of around 2-3 weeks ago. i posted the prices of one dealer but i forgot exactly what they were. Around $8500.00 for a test model and $10500.00 for a new one at one dealer.

Wrong if they sold every one that they made at full retail they would still be drowning in debt.
Recipe for disaster.

Not necessarily a recipe for disaster for a new owner. They were in the SF bay, which is probably the second worst place in the US for manufacturing, cost-wise. The biggest problem, as I see it, is that because they chose to mfr in a horribly expensive area, it required a ridiculous amount of investment capital and they're probably trying to get back as much of that money as they can, which means they're probably asking way too much and the only ones interested already know how to mfr efficiently, so they're probably laughing at Alta thinking they're out of their mind.
I just want people smarter than me to offer repairs/replacements for the electrical parts. Best bike I've owned in 22 years of riding.

I don't have one and I've never seen him post anything that was incorrect or misleading.
What muddies the waters is the guys who know nothing about the company, have no experience with the bike, and don't care to look past a personal bias but feel the need to posts nonsense in every alta thread.

Let it go, they aren’t coming back. I once got sucked into the Buell cult, which is/was much like the Alta cult. I know the pain you’re going through. Stay strong.
one of the big guys will buy them and use there tech in there own bike. im looking at you yamaha and honda.
They should have partnered with a manufacturer from the get go, kinda like Beta did with KTM. Don't try and design it all from scratch, start with someone else's engine or chassis, and offer a ICE bike first to get your name out there. Then you are selling bikes while designing your full electric one. People would totally buy an American made bike with a hondahauki engine. Think about this place if they had made it with a RM250 engine!
Alta loaned Nate, and other riders of his stature, bikes. He, and those other riders, did not purchase the bikes and did not own them. A creditor is liquidating assets in order to pay debts, and those lent bikes are assets. It only makes sense that the creditor is retrieving said assets so they can be liquidated or included in the sale if the company. It was only a matter of time, sadly.

It's actually not known at this time whether they are coming back or not. . .

I don’t think the tech was that advanced. Ya’ll are acting like it was a moto version of Tesla

At least with the Alta you can go out and ride the thing for a few years. With bitcoin you might as well be lighting your doobies with $100 bills.
I actually made money on bitcoin. Just can’t be stupid

I see them as the moto version of Tesla.. if you look at what Tesla has accomplished then there is no reason we can’t have that in moto form?
