Can't see the IG post for some reason. Is he racing outdoors? Hope so because the guy is fast at the nationals.

Super personable guy too. Bumped into him at a Starbucks in Anaheim and had a nice convo with him. Big fan and wishing him success.

How do you think he will do in a more stacked class than when he previously raced the Nationals?

We went down to club mx from Pa to ride about a month ago. Excellent tracks, super friendly staff, and awesome looking facility. Plus the fact that they support these guys makes em even better! Nice to give my money to a track that helps the privateers.

I think he'll do about the same. He's currently training with Dylan Wright.

If he can close the gap to Wright, he'll do just fine.

He's also been on the Yamaha for a number of years now, so that helps as well.

Has Wright beat Phil outdoors in a US National?

Big diff racing in Canada vs US. Phil will be at home there and comfortable.

Personally, I don't think that matters much in the grand scheme of things.

It's not like Phil didn't have any experience on our tracks or was on a brand new bike. He was very competitive against Facciotti in his first year up here and you know that's not an easy task. Millsaps came up here and won the title his first year after not racing outdoors since 2012. Sure, Facciotti came in injured, but still.

Dylan just moved up to the 450 class and worked everyone. No one saw it coming. I knew he was going to be good and win races, but nothing like what we saw.

Honestly, and people might not want to believe it, but for anyone else to have won the title last year, it would've taken someone of Baggett's caliber. Dylan was that good.

Phil must see something in him as he's the one that asked Dylan to go down to ClubMX.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see where Phil stacks up after being up here for 2 years.

Side Note: I'd like to see Wright try his hand at a few MXGP races and Pettis to race full time down south. I understand that it's not that easy, but in my opinion I think they're both wasting their time/talent up here.

The Arlington 3 bikes still looked pretty good, but the silver, white, and different shade of blue they’ve been using on the hubs and stuff looks pretty damned sweet.

Yep good points.

I just think there’s big difference in the whole vibe/feel of the cdn Nats compared to the us that I think keeps our cdn guys from doing their best when going to the US nationals.

I’m from Ottawa too and want to see Dylan do well, just think it could take getting a year or so under his belt.

It always seems hard to compare riders from series to series for some reason.

I remember seeing Phil,s name in cycle news winning races in New York on a cr125. Too bad a Canadian ride didn’t work out, Phil racing up there was Great for both countries. ClubMx is a great ride, all the different tracks, heat and humidity. He,ll get a top 5 at some tracks. ClubMx signed Wyatt Liebeck also he was on ktm . This kid can pass someone fast, like there chain broke.
