Im REALLY contemplating going this year.....anyone think its too late to pull it together?
What airport would be best to fly into to get to Red Bud easily?
The whole area is going to be extra booked on Hotels too, anyone have any advice on Hotels near the track or a reasonable distance from the track to take in all the weekends festivities?
Never been to Red Bud but seriously want to go to the MXoN this year if I can
On my way to Ironman last year, stopped for gas somewhere in the wasteland between here and there. Across the street was a similar looking place BUT, it sold; liquor, beer, ciggs, guns, ammo, and fireworks...it may have had bbq too...I can't remember. Pretty much one stop shopping for the redneck on the go.

Never have been to Reb Bud, but this is what I found.
Santa Barbara into Ohare was only $313.00 round trip. South bend air port may be nicer but it was around the $600 range, but it was closer to track. Its 92 miles from Ohare to Red Bud.
We purchased VIP Gold, just figured if we are going, might as well spend as much as a camp site at Glen Helen. Plus it's all you can eat and drink.
Hotel we are staying away from South Bend,(about 15 miles from the track) college area, were old. Booked near the water and the casino's, (around 32 miles from track) Gotta a suite for only $105.00 a night.
Car rental went thru Costco and was $250 for a mid size.
Don't know if you can bring in fireworks, but my buddy is a fireworks freak, might be in trouble.
This is going to make the burning tires, burning campers, Trooper helicopters, etc. over the years at High Point look like "Amateur Hour".
Holy crap, they list mortars/shells on the Krazy Kaplans site. Small, but dangerous.
