Newmann Decals!!!! **A NEW LOAD**

Listen up, Fam. We lost a seriously important member recently.

I made a couple threads lamenting the loss of a friend that I never actually met. Think about that.
Joe and I found each other across this GREAT Big internet on MX & Firearm forums.

I made a thread a few weeks ago that I've been updating, it can be seen here...

But, Joe's son Darrick went above and beyond for me. Therefore, so did I for him and all of us.

I ordered another 200 Newmann mini plates and Darrick will send em out....but we want to see them in action. Derrick & I don't want to see em on your beer fridge, toolbox, pooper-scooper........these are race-bike decals(van windows are okay bc vans are cool).

Mostly we wanna see during races, dirty stickers.

Y'all want in?

I would really , really like to get a couple of these if possible. Me , Joe and a couple other dudes had a 5 man text chat over the past couple years , in which we all spoke almost every single night. When Joe past , It hit me pretty hard and am still missing , being able to talk to him every night. I know Darrick has / had Joe's phone , and I have been thinking about reaching out , to see if he still has it. But if not , I would be very grateful to get a couple of these decals. I will immediately put them on my helmets. BTW......thank you so much for doing this. And Joe.....I miss you a bunch brother. I so wish you were still here.

I never met him in person, we talked in here about his pool a couple times, that was my only “personal interaction” with him. From reading his posts and seeing his unreal bike collection pictures I could tell he was a full blown moto nut and a guy who “got it” and must’ve been fun to know in person. Having said that I think the stickers should go to guys who were friends “in real life” first. But if there’s any left over I’d be proud to run one on my race trailer, I have quite a collection of stickers from other moto buds who’ve moved on. I’d be happy to help keep his memory alive and run his sticker on the back of the trailer. (If there’s any left after all his personal friends have how ever many they want.) He’ll be in good company back there !

I only know Joe from his posts on Vital, he was very helpful to me with my restoration of a 1976 125 Elsinore that's still a work in progress. I would love to display a sticker on that bike.
He also had some advice for me on of all things a Wagner cast iron pan. Cool dude.

If I remember correctly Newmann was the pioneer for the "spoke with my wallet" when he got his KTM 150sx. That thread and then he immediately took it apart to "make it better", custom silencer he made for it and powder coated the frame orange. Made me jealous of his skills and shop! Cool thing you are doing with the decals.

I never met Joe in the flesh, although I admired him for his knowledge of vintage bikes and was continually amazed by his rebuilds and the trick parts he was able to get for them. He also got me back in touch with some of the guys I used to race with down in Texas in the 70's. So, he was a cool guy...and his passing is a huge loss to our community. The decal thing is a very cool thing too...I hope they get created, and there is a thread posted here so members can share photos of the decals on their bikes, helmets, gear, truck windows, etc.

RIP Newmann.

I argued with Joe so much on here I gotta get one. We went round and round about a host of things we disagreed on and it was always respectful. I never got to meet him in person but it was easy to tell he was a genuine good guy. My helmet has plenty of room and I still get out on track every weekend on tracks he has burned laps on before.

Please set a few aside for me. I have a mate in Murrieta LA who is coming across to South Africa early December and he can bring them. If you are ok with that ill pass on the name and address.
