New guy, great day yesterday

Hi all, wanted to share my second track day in my comeback. 50 yo here getting back into Moto after 30 plus yr hiatus. First track experience was in mostly mud and on what to my old motocross eyes looked more like a super cross style track. Didn’t go great. Yesterday was fantastic. Went to Wareham mx here in MA it is a mostly sand track the kind I grew up on and I felt a lot better on the bike. My cornering speed in some areas was good, control of bike overall was better and the jumps felt better. I love how physically hard it is! My eyes and my mind were getting up the track instead of looking right in front of me. I’m so glad I bought the bike and gear and that I’m giving it a go! On the ride home I don’t think I have felt better in a long time, can’t wait to get back on track, and grateful I can do this at my age.

I took a 7 year hiatus and just bought and broke in my first new bike since 07 yesterday. Feels great to be sore. Wife’s not too stoked, but she’ll get over it. Lol
