Granma and Grandpa got my 16 month old this for xmas, but I have a feeling he will get it sooner.

Its intended for 18 month olds and up. Judging by what a little crazy man he is it is right down his alley.

Did they get the two-stroke or four-stroke model?

Yeah, I know what they are. I figured some guys would claim that it's a two-stroke or four-stroke. Wink

My 18 month old daughter rocks a Specialized Small Fry lid which has plenty of adjustment for correct fit.

There's a few different colourways but pick of the bunch is the "moto", for budding scooter pilots!

Not the strokes. It has no linkage.

Push, swing leg forward, push, swing leg forward. Yup, two strokes.

That's awesome! Hope Grandpa's knee has healed up enough to help with "rider-chasing" detail!

He said it makes four stroke sounds but my guess is that it's one of those new three strokes judging by the spooge coming out of the back. Might be a bit rich.

I think it has because he is in TX to race the state championship. The life of a retired motocross fan. :-)

That's the best thing you could have got him. He will never need training wheels on any bike after riding that. My little man got a similar one at the same age as your boy, got his first 16" Redline BMX, no training wheels at 3 and off he went, exactly a year ago today!

Advantage of this one is that you can clip the pedals on when he works that concept out.
Also with no pedals , my little man worked out he could stand on the housing of the front cranks, so feet were up in riding position from basically the first week and he could stand while freewheeling
