How can you not root for this kid. Such a humble person and kept at it for years to get to this point. Props to Alex Martin. You are the epitome of perseverance sir.

Yep put me on the list for big AL also. Kid has heart and humble also. The Martin's raised 2 good kids but Alex has something extra in the personality dept.

I met him in Germany when he raced the mxdn for Puerto Rico. Made me a fan, very cool guy, humble and hard working. Hope he can keep that up for the season.

Better than troll.
Can I throw myself on as biggest a-mart nerd? Dude is finding himself. Great bike and great trainer and he is where he should be. Things can change but for a kid who only gets better as the coast goes east, I expect him to have some great motos here on out. All things stay the same and big al has a good shot at top 3 overall. Cmon a mart!

It was interesting that he said that it felt like the team motos they were doing every week, I didn't think Coop trained with them.

Right on. I like everything about him, humble was the word I told my son after his interview . Props also to the Martin boy's parents, they did something right.

Interesting to hear the weightlifting comments and see an almost immediate increase in his aggression on the track...

How cool would it be if AMart could win the title?

Also, Forkner seems like a really good kid. He'll be fun to watch progress. The 250 class is so much more interesting.

Damn straight, those two kids are pretty amazing and almost too damn polite haha... it's only because it's MX and you know you have to be a tough SOB that you could guess there is any anger under the helmet.

At Hangtown he was using so much more body energy, just exploding and moving and it was generating pace. He's always just ground it out, lift weights I say! Looks great!

How fucking amazing would it be if he squeaked out a national title to join his brother!

I have to admit, just like Joe, I wondered if Hangtown was a fluke. The kid proved me wrong at Glen Helen, and I can't wait to see what he can do from here on out.

It'd be even cooler, because it happened twice in the same season.

Man oh man! Alex has definitely been a huge surprise this year and it's really cool too see. Seems like such a cool dude and a hard worker. So awesome seeing him come into his own. Kind of lived under Jeremy's shadow these past few years...and now he's truly making a name for himself. Very , very cool to see!

Sooooooo STOKED to see A-Mart crushing it and getting the Red Plate.

The Yamaha 250 Squad was keeping the competition busy.

Great ride for Alex- that kid is in wicked shape
Indeed. When they interviewed him after the 2nd moto, he was hardly even breathing hard. Hard to believe he had just run a hard 30 min +2.

Definite Big Al supporter here.

I always envision a dirtbike rider with a huge sack of mail on his back when people say this.
