Well, after about 2 weeks of bike shopping,I opted to go Red again.Haven't had my own bike for about a year and a half. Was riding a buddies 04 450 for a few months up until May. After going to Washougal, the pull to ride was too much.Went with the last 07 CRF 450 they had on the floor.Got it OTD for $5400.I'm picking it up tomorrow.I've got some White One Industries plastic on the way for it.Hope to break it in on Friday.Smile

Congrats Bro! I know you have been trying to decide for a little while now. I am ready to get my new bike this year for sure. I am only getting one this year. I am not doing the usual 250F and 450F thing. Still undecided as to what I am going to get.

Good deal then...I've been ripped one to many times by them. I picked up my 2008 honda CRF150RB from OTD cycle sports for $4,199 OTD on monday. Honda of Hollywood wanted to sell me a rusted up 2007 CRF150RB for $4,299 +Plus taxes, Shipping, and assembly fees which came out to be $5,000

I have been seriously considering it!! My lap times are so similar on big tracks I could go either way. On a tight SX track I am faster on the 250F!

Laughing At least it isn't "West Hollywood" That's a whole different ride, right there.

As for Hollywood Honda, they wanted more for the bike. They just were gonna match OTD's price. But I saw that the bike was looking grungy from sitting outside and I balked and decided to go to OTD.The guy (Mike Unger)was cool and asked me what I'd give for it.Wish I'd have said $5000.Blush Oh,well. Saved $400 for a dirty bike.

You can’t go wrong with that choice. It’s the best handling 450 on the market.

My 07 pulled much better in the middle than my 06. It was a nice surprise. I predict you'll love it. Make sure to run 70-80cc more oil on the tranny side than the manual says....saves one of the countershaft bearings so I hear. Glide plate, radiator guards, Scott's oil filter and a couple of twin airs and you're good to go until you get some break in hours on it and want to do the suspension.

Oh...and watch the spokes the first ride. Amazing how quick those suckers loosen up.

Sorry for the hijack Friday.....

Here's a curve of my CRF 304 that we massaged in a big way. 15 more HP at 9000 than a stock 250. I rode it tonight, along with my 450 and this thing is freaking cool. A mini 450.

Since this dyno run, we added a bored carb (42.5mm), a head with a bit more aggressive porting, and made some changes to the cam timing. It actually peaks at about 1.5 more hp and doesn't sign off until about 1k higher. Vet weapon, for sure.

Broke in my new bike today.Did a few 10 minute rides at low to mid RPMs.Didn't set the SAG or anything.Left the stock plastic on with no numbers.Moved the bars forward, put on my SDG step seat(which helped alot),tightened spokes and sprocket bolts. The track at Milestone is way different than 3 months ago.I liked it a lot.More technical.I rode like a spode but could tell the new bike was better. It turns great! More bottom end power too.Right now it feels like the rear shock blows through the travel quickly in the mid stroke but both front and back seem progressive and not prone to bottoming.I've only got about an hour on it and I will set it up next ride.I could already tell it is feeling better. The harder you ride it,the better it handles.I did notice more top end noise from the moment I first started it this morning.More than other bikes I have had.Is that normal for the 07 CRF 450? It ran great.Just seemed like piston, valve,or rod noise.Never got any worse.Anyway,it was great to be back on the bike! I'm already kind of sore.Very out of shape.(mx shape)Hope to ride again Sunday(maybe Perris) or Monday. There were only about 15 guys there today.I was parked next to Sean Borkenhagen. What a nice kid! Very friendly. We chatted for quite a while. He was tearin' it up out there. Hope to see him get a ride next year.

It's the best bike I ever owned, i didn't even upgrade this year.

Set your sag
keep an eye on spokes and sprocket bolts
RAD Guards
run around 750m on tranny side
hopefully you can get shrouds off, the top bolts have a tendency to strip in tank.

you got a great deal

Trust me you'll never go back to the 450 again, imagine (like drmarkr said) a mini 450 I was out at perris and the bike will pull 3rd gear out of the inside no clutch and clear things with a blip of the throttle..and I went from a stock 53t to a 49t and it doesn't even phase it, it's a little on the loud side but unlike anything I've ever ridden ... I may buy a new bike down the road but I will NEVER sell this lil gem. If you get a chance to ride one I highly recommend it! Smile
