As fader emphasized, I don't put too much effort into reading MXA either, which certainly is the cause of my comprehension problem with Jody's article.

As such, Jody referenced an "issue" with Jimmy Mac and summarized it by saying Jimmy can take his new Honda and park it far away from him at the track.

Of course trying to read MXA, or any magazine for that matter after downing a bottle of wine Halloween night can make for a fuzzy recollection.

I might be in the minority, but I really like the mag. Good bike tests, and they are not afraid print unpopular ideas which is often necessary if you want to be "journalistic".

But I guess it's a matter of taste and how we see things...

What you said Marc. True journalism shouldn't be an ass kissing contest. The writer is supposed to remain impartial. Sometimes they go a little overboard with their criticisms, but bike tests are why I buy MXA. Jodys Box is hilarious, and the reason why I asked my dad to come to races the first time. Very memorable day in my life. Any of you who are long time readers know what I'm talking about. Nuf' said.

I know the one that you are talking about.

I wish that MXA would put out all of the "Jody's box" columns in a single edition or archive them online.

I have been reading every one since 1976 and would love to go back through them.

Youngsters also need to know that "Chicken bones ruined my dog" and other life lessons.

Maybe the Jimmy he was referring to having trouble with was his own, and in that case may I recommend Viagra...

I think he was commenting on your choice of weaponry, not grabbing it to deal with 5 yo's lol

this right here....LINKAGE .... tells you everything you need to know about MXA and its attitude. Its stuck back in 1970's and early 80's. Hmmmm the exact same time Jody was trying to make it as a pro, men were real mean, ate ravioli out of a hubcap and raced out of a pickup at a pro level "for the love of the sport" because noone since 1985 is tough, dedicated, or loves the sport. Just a bunch of pampered pussies in it for the money with no dedication, work ethic, or love of the sport.
