I don't think it's photoshopped but that is an odd looking silencer for a 2 stroke.

That's just the Akrapovic silencer, it is rather big for a twostroke

Sound rules and the need to make power in a specific RPM range make for odd length silencers in Europe.

Looks alright. Any pictures of the KTM next to it? Is that the bike Ken DeDycker rode?

I'm glad it's not just a KTM with white plastic. Interested to see if they gave it KTM internals because I'm sure for MX the Husaberg 2-stroke engine isn't stellar.

I like it, it's a good start! I know people who ride the Husaberg 300 2-stroke enduro and keep up with a-riders on mx tracks.

The new EMX300 European Championship with a 300cc 2 stroke machines for 2014 was represented at MXoN in Germany. It will be affordable and interesting series that's for shore...In the picture the new Husqvarna, KTM and TM

I wish Beta and GasGas would get involved in MX. This is the perfect opportunity.

Oh my, starting a series with only three bikes. No Japanese? It will ruin his career! LOL. Damn shame we can't even have a 125 class at the national level over here. Damn shame I say....

AMA, protecting your right to ride a 250F or 450F.

AMA isn't stopping you from riding what you want. Besides, you don't need the AMA to organize a race series with a pro-class, if that's what you are after. Sleepy Hollow and Glen Helen run lots of 2-stroke events without the AMA. Maybe one day those events will grow into something formidable. Who knows?

I'm just playing devil's advocate here Newmann. Brap on.

Yea pretty much. The deal came together so close to production. There was not much time to develop a completly new bike.

It was said to be KTM-ish first year, but with the intention to become more individual as they go. I don't get how a company owning two brands can build different products, but i don't get either if going different paths is better either. I think building different frames, plastics, looks and ergos is essential to make the consumers to wake up and buy. I also would like to see some EFI or smart cab to be part of the evolution.

(speculating of course)It's nearly the same business model as the price point vs name brand products. Most of these products are made in the same facility using the same ingredients, but it is just branded/marketed differently.

I'll be getting one, if they make a wr250 or perhaps a 250 2-stroke XC model.
