Wonder How that works contractually? If they didn't honor the contract does he have any rights to what goes on there catalog? I guess that's why they only used a shot of the bike. Wonder if there's shots of him in there?

No pics of Shorty in there, but when it showed up today I was thinking it was really bad timing.

I was under the impression that chap was honoring their contract, LMC just didn't have enough funding in general. Nobody said Chap was in LMC for a million plus

Yes, the Chaparral catalog has a picture of the team they sponsored in 2012- including Andrew Short's 2012 CRF450R.

So what's the problem with that?

2013 catalog showing the bike that is no longer racing with those logos. I'm sure it was printed before things went to crap but that doesn't help Short. Sucks for Chap, sucks for Shorty and many others behind the screens. It showed up in my box today and I thought the timing was not so well. That's all. No hard feelings from me

Think of the thousands of people that don't know about the team situation.
The weekend warriors.
That's who they are going after anyways.
Not the 300 guys on vital.

So by your reasoning PC cant put old pictures of their "Team Peak" bikes in any of their catalogs because McGrath doesnt ride for him anymore and its false advertising?

I was under the impression that Chaparral was supposed to be a temporary 'fix' to the team sponsor issue. They would still be a sponsor one a new one was found, but much like Motosport does.
WTF do I know thoughLaughing

I thought Chaparral was the only sponser the team had, and they couldnt run that operation without more support. So to say Chaparral is in the wrong for putting Shorts bike on the cover is way off base... IMO

I wouldn't be suprised if Chap spent more money than they'll get out of the deal. And even now with the way this situation has come about, it could wind up hurting them a little to no fault of their own. The real point is, none of us know what the true deal was, at least not enough about it to pass judgement.

I didn't claim to know the circumstances but if they didn't hold up thwith end, would be kinda shitty. Bad timing that's all.
