An old friend just sent me this link because he remembered I started racing on a Honda 60. Talk about bringing back some memories!

I sure would like to have this bike...

sweet. i remember working at a shop in the early 80's what a bike to start on for a little kid. in 1974 I had an MR50 honda, which was worlds cooler than a Z50, but that CR60 was a worlds cooler than the MR50.

That's the bike that started it all for me, and it still looks damn good today.

Had a 78 MR250 (for what it's worth), but always wanted a CR60 or MR50. I had to settle for an XL70 (then later got an XR75).

Crap! I just found one in my town for $500 that doesn't have any paint rubbed off the engine or frame, just faded fenders. Looks like it's been buried in a garage for 30 yrs.

Send me that link if you still have it DB.

Oh man. I'll never forget riding my buddies brand new 83' CR80 back in the day. It was before I had ever gotten my first real race bike ( 84' I bought a clapped out 82' RM125 )........anyways......when I rode that CR80.....I seriously felt like an instant factory rider on that thing! It was so fast , crisp and clean......I kept thinking I could have ruled the world on that thing hehe. Gawd those were good times.

In the 60cc-65cc class....I still to this day see mid-80's bikes out there all the time. The chassis have changed ( not to much ).....but the motors are basically the same as far as power goes. If you can find parts , and stay on top of the up-keep....you can keep one of those little suckers running for years on end.

Here's my very first dirtbike my mum and pop got me in '98. It was an '84, a little clapped out obviously, but fun to ride. Just way too much bike for a beginner, only 8 years old on top of that. I didn't know it was semi-rare or else I wouldn't have let my dad sell it! I liked it, wish they woulda got me like an XR80 though... maybe I wouldn't suck so bad now haha.
