That's one part. Some are more, some are less. They may be more in general, but they sure aren't double like what I was responding to. Don't think anybody can disagree with that.

Really sweet looking bike from overhead. Love the blue tank, seat and like the black rims over the yellow honestly.

I wonder which parts will swap over from the older gen. It will be cool to see what parts JGR make for this, they have already started making some pretty cool stuff for the current rmz

If this bike can weigh what the new Kawasaki weighs, then big win for Suzuki. Fix the suspension, make it lighter, and it will be a front runner. I love the blue highlights. Looks awesome. Oh the deals to be had on any new 15-17 model!

Yep. This is just speculation but if any dealers still have 15 or 16 models in stock you could get them for really, really cheap. I mean around 4500-5000.

Factory bike looks great...I will be more interested when the works Japanese bike gets rolled out, that is probably more likely to be more of a 2018 model...i.e. racing the preproduction unit like Honda did in 2016 for the 2017 model.

And we wont know HP, EC or not, chassis dimensions, suspension and weight until the 2018 bikes are produced/unveiled Smile

One thing I think that works bike would look even better with the yellow/blue...is gold rims.

Externally, engine looks the same. Not that any 450 needs more power at this point, but there's been lollipop-dreams of GSXR-style centrifugal VVT (which, itself arrived with all new castings), or whatever. So it looks like nuthin' that highfalutin has trickled down to us dirt plebes quite yet.

I like the rake angle. Reminds me of the 12 CRF a lot.

Just a Question: What if Zook just kept making the old 2008+ style model and charged 2-3K less than their competitors? Throw on some cheapo Chinese tires, steel bars, crap bodywork, maybe even a carb... whatever.

I mean, clearly Suzuki was not intentionally positioning themselves as a value option, but still enough people here at Vital (and elsewhere) have bought RMZs based solely on the idea that the raw platform itself is competitive while offering steep dealer discounts..

So, would the market be bigger, less, or the same for that model if Suzuki just focused on positioning themselves as a value-oriented race branding and took some of that pricing burden off the dealers?

Ok price out their crank for a 450 and bearings. Valves, crank, pistons, gaskets and lower end bearings are what is mostly bought. Double the price easy over a yamaha. Fn camchain is 50 bucks!!

If you love suzukis then great. I just think the prices are rediculously priced.

Kinda unfair comparison. But good looking bike nonetheless

it's just typical Suzuki, very conservative and safe.

Just had a quick skim thru the broadcast, was there any actual specs of the changed model? We're just looking at pictures? Doesn't "look" ground breaking. Just reshaped plastics?

And who said it looks like a Yamaha?

this is not a case of a Japanese company copying a Japanese company.

It is the same old thing, The Japanese simply copy whoever does it the best, then they attempt to improve the quality.

In this case, the design was done in Italy many years ago, someone care to remind me what bike (s) I am referring to.....

Don't go there, I compared actual part costs and showed that KTM and Suzuki weren't the most expensive across the board and got called a fan boy in another thread.

Not sure the excitement. Doesn't look any different to me other than new graphics.
