Even if it is the 2018 model... its Suzuki. Which means it will have different graphics and maybe some different shock settings

Didn't Grant Langston switch to the 08 YZ at Southwick in 07? Villopoto the 12 model at Unadilla in 11?
For the US the bikes have to be homologated, which in those two cases there were enough bikes in the country that it was legal. For the GPs there is no such rule, meaning they can race them all season long, regardless of production numbers.

I am still racing a modified 2011 because I have not felt like I needed to upgrade. I hope they do something to change my mind! To me the biggest issue is the weight --- it's a PIG. (funny I complain about weight of the bike but not my own weight haha)

If they redesign the look and lose a bunch of weight I would probably buy one. Putting estart on it would help convince me too with my short fat legs.

You'll be eating your words tomorrow when they unveil a lot, lot more than your Graphics and shock settings claim.

You're one of these bros who can't see beyond a plastic fender right? It must be a sad life having a bit of plastic meaning so damn much to you...

Quote from Stribos on MX Large interview.
"There were rumours about racing at Hawkstone Park with a completely new bike, maybe Model year 2018? Can you tell us something? If yes, have you already tested it?

"I can’t tell a lot about that but we will unveil the bike friday before hawkstone park. I’m very excited to show it. Yeah we tested the bike straight after the MXON and it feels different, a lot lighter, even easier to handle…
We will still need some time to test it more but i can’t wait to ride it. Just wait and see."

There's a specified date on when the bikes have to be in the country for both series. For Supercross, that date is actually later in the season...so that's how KTM is legal for the FEs.

100% be a brand new bike, pre production 2018 for Suzuki MXGP team and Japan only. Bikes been around for quite a while apparently, and will debut at hawkestone international on Sunday!

They havent made it light because they havent made it yet... I think yous post is meant to say "I think it will be lighter than the Honda, I have no facts to justify the comment, but I hate Honda so will make the comment anyway" ...better?

I remember waiting for my '05 RMZ 450 that I ordered back in 2004
And watching the gp's in '04 before they were released late in spring of '05 here

Then Ricky was able to bust out his works edition/ exemption during outdoors

Bring back the 4 speed gear box, add the magic button and hydro clutch
- then options/ upgrades like a FE edition ?
Spring rates
Air/ spring
Exhaust/ mapping
Yellow wheels

So wait, is Keefer wrong, or is all this just a bunch of hype over nothing?

I hate those forks. Does look lighter though. I'll probably just hold out for the 2026 model.
