Needing to freshen up the cosmetics on a 13 Honda CRF450. I've bought lots of plastic over the years but wanted some advice.

Is the quality of all brands pretty much the same or is there one that stands out?

TIA

BAM. Great quality and you can even find full kits on sale for under $120. Motosports.com is a good place to order from.

I would go with a red fender on the back, IMO

I have ordered Cycra in the past and was unimpressed. The color was off and the finish was dull.

DecalMX has its plastics made by Polisport. Good quality for a good price. Their new one-piece side panel seems like the way to go.

I have used UFO for the last few years and am very satisfied. Acerbis fenders have a weird shape sometimes that doesn't resemble OEM.

Usually OEM Honda parts are pretty cheap, might be worth it to check this avenue as well.

All Red on a Honda does look more..."Honda". Doesn't it. I've ALWAYS loved the Real Red TLD Hondas.

I've found UFO and Acerbies to be very similar in quality. But I love the fact that UFO designed updated plastic for the KX85/100 and the YZ125/250 to update the styling to something made in the 21st century! I don't know why Yamaha doesn't use UFO plastic on their new YZ125 and 250.

I used pretty much every plastic company on my YZs (except UFO) and my favorite was the polisport. The Acerbis front fender was shaped wrong and pointed up more than it should. It was easily fixed by putting a couple washers between the fender and the triple clamp, but still annoying to have to do on something that should be as easy as a fender. I had a Cycra fender on my YZ125 and it was bent from the factory. I tried heating it up, clamping weights to it to bend it the other way, all sorts of stuff, and it never did straighten out. I would strongly consider going with Polisport.

Whatever you do, do NOT buy plastic from mxplastic.com (I believe they are connected to Decal Works some how?). The plastic quality is terrible and fit's goofy. Only reason I bought it was because it was cheaper, but it wasn't THAT much cheaper.

Polisport is the worst plastic I've ever used. It didn't fit right and the rear fender got a white crease in it just lifting the bike off the stand.

When it comes to Honda's, nothing beats OEM.

Cam's right about OEM but most of the other comments are good too. I used to use Acerbis a lot but their honda red fades pretty easily. UFO seems to hold up better.

This thread taught me that Acerbis, UFO, Cycra, Polisport and OEM Honda is by far the best (and sometimes the worst) plastic for dirt bikes. Awesome.

That was perfect. As I was reading all the replies (Because I, too, am in the market for plastics for my '06 250X) you managed to sum up everything I have learned from yet another wonderful thread. haha.
