Hi. I've been doing research. I'm trying to find out what 250f would be the best. I'm 5'5 and 135 pounds, and I am moderate skill level. I started riding dirt bikes this year but have picked the sport up quickly as I rode four wheelers before. I ride almost every weekend on my two smoke. I don't want to go two stroke anymore. I currently ride a kx80bigweel. I just think that even though it's harder maintenance, it'll be better for me to have the good low end power instead of power band to get me up hills. And I just want an easier, smoother ride. I have two friends on kx250fs and they love them. But I've heard hondas are great, I just don't want the weight of the 250x and I was wondering if the 250rs would be too much power in the trails. And the rmz I've heard is a nice adjustable bike. I just need something that can be trail rode without taking off on me. And I can worry about size later, because I'll grow into it and the power eventually. Weights another thing to factor in. The last thing I need is for me not to be able to pick up my bike if I get in a pickle. Have an opinion about any or what bike would work best for me?

Every motor 2 stroke or 4 has a power band.... I would stay on a 2 stroke until you can ride it correctly and then switch.

If you're buying a used 250F you should get the lowest hour, best maintained bike you can find and afford. Brand makes zero difference. Even then it's a crapshoot, if you can't afford a big repair bill don't get a 250F. You may not ever have to fix it but you won't have much fun on a broken bike that you can't afford to fix.
