Personally I think it's the most retarded and amazing thing I have seen in years. I wouldn't doubt to buy an old shitty YZ from 05 put the crazy money to make it look 2010-ish instead of buying a much better YZ from 08 in mint cond for the same money.
Best would of course to buy a new 2011 and bling it, but that money is not justified for me for a second bike.
Face it, motocross is stupid, and this is super stupid which is the reason why I love it!
There's been a lot of worthless stuff come and gone over the years. You can't blame anyone for trying to make a buck. It's the American way,or it used to be anyway. Kids used to laugh at my son's bike, because it never looked good, until one day when an ex champion was at the track. He said, who's winning? Thats why his bike looks like crap, because he's riding it. Don't matter what it looks like,as long as you have fun on it. For 2G,I'd buy a beater to go out and and have a blast on it trying to blow the thing, before paying that to make my 2stroke look like a 4. I wonder if there is any additional maintenance costs associated with that kit. MP said it cost 4 times more.

With all the money I`ve seen people on this board are spending to look fast, I can actually see quite a lot of people buying this. Especially as the 2 stroke crowd lie to stand out in the first place. BUT, unless it becomes available in the US, I don`t think it will sell much. I just don`t see americans ordering parts from europe.

After a lot of developing and testing, and finding the right partners to work with they are finally available: The kits to transform your YZ125 or YZ250 two-stroke into a modern looking high speed motocross race bike. LR Racing Products and van de Laar Racing proudly present you some more information about these kits.
YAMAHA's well known two-strokes are high quality motocross machines. But sadly the looks of the bikes haven't had an update since 2002, so the looks of the bikes are almost unchanged for a decade now. Time for a change we thought! After all, we all want our bike to look good. To give your two-stroke a modern days look we adapted the looks of the current YZ250f onto the YZ bikes. Our kits have all you need to convert your 'outdated' YZ into a mean looking sharp edged modern motocross race bike.
Our standard kit comes with:
- New subframe to bolt onto your own standard main frame (no cutting or welding needed)
- New plastic 8 liter fuel tank (fits both YZ125 and YZ250, black)
- New OEM YZ250f filter box
- New OEM YZ250f seat (choice of color blue/black, gray/black or red/black)
- new set of plastics (Racetech, choice of color white, black, OEM blue/white) including a
front fender with two-stroke bolt pattern to fit your stock triple tree
- New set of radiator braces
- New muffler (PPS)
- New YZ250f mud flap (Racetech)
- New set of bolts and bits needed for conversion
The price of this kit is EUR 1495,- incl. tax for EU-costumers. For non-EU costumers the price is EUR 1260,- Decals and P&P not included.
Our export kit comes with:

- New plastic 8 liter fuel tank (fits both YZ125 and YZ250, black)
- New front fender with two-stroke bolt pattern to fit your stock triple tree (Racetech, choice of color
white, black, OEM blue)
- New set of radiator braces
- New YZ250f mud flap (Racetech)
- New set of bolts and bits needed for conversion
The price of our export kit is EUR 995,- for non-EU costumers. As you can see some large items are left out to save on shipping costs. Decals and P&P not included.
Both kits are also available with a 9.4 liter (or bigger on request) aluminum fuel tank at extra costs.
Of course all the ones complaining about 2 grand worth of nothing are probably the ones who paid 2 grand too much for their 1/8 ton pig of a 450 with 150 some odd friction producing heat generating fuel boiling power robbing double displacement requiring additional parts and then added the thousand dollar pipe, thousand dollar wheelset, billet triples and $200.00 worth of graphics and stickers.....
Very cool project those guys undertook and congrats to them for making it available for purchase. Like another poster said above, the only sad thing about this deal is that Yamaha was TOO FUCKING STUPID to do this themselves. Best part about the aftermarket industry is that when the oems quit thinking and start sitting around with their thumbs up their asses, others will keep moving forward without them.
What is their english website link?
I love the look and since I'm keeping my 06 YZ250 until I die.. a grand isn't that bad... although...

You really expect to get a replacement subframe, airbox, fuel tank, seat, plastic, silencer and all neccessary hardware for $500? What planet are you living on?
I think it's cool to have an upated kit, kind of like the A-Loop kit for XRs. I agree with Newmann that it's too bad it's come to this with Yamaha. On the same token, IMO the body work on the YZ is not an issue with me. The front fender looks stupid and all the weight is still too high on the new Fs.
Its not the latest and greatest but it upgrades the look

Besides, for that kind of money I'd rather go in this direction -
