1. Larry Brooks kept him on the team

2. If he would have known and started looking earlier

3. The economy was better

4. He wouldn't have a ride if he would have known in Vegas

I'm not sure guy's , I don't know about you but when people don't return calls thats a message. Is it chicken shit ? -Yes , but it happens

I know Nathan is a good dude and deserved better but there is many more in the same boat and they raced all summer.

If Ramsey wants to be a professional motorcycle racer he needs to be racing competitively year around. The USSX is a SX race and he should have at least showed up, factory ride or not. From his RX interview I feel he really doesn't care if he races or not he has already prepared himself for retirement.

He's got top 5 speed in SX Premies class. FACT. Check. Done. He can bring in a top 10 in points.

That's his resume. And it is as current as last season.

Outdoors doesn't matter to the marketers who pay the bills.

We're talkin business. Not the soul of the sport.

Ramsey earned a re-up. And didn't get an explanation or an "i'm sorry but my hands are tied"

check the results from '08 not '78

And don't blame it on the herb you smoked behind Godzilla hill.

9 top tens last year and two top 5's. 7th overall. and no one even gave him a "it's not you, it's me"

Langston out, Tedesco out, Burner out, DV riding injured, Hansen booted, Ferry injured, Demuth out, Stewart out...08 was a season full of injuries so his top five speed is more like top 15.

That's like saying RC wouldn't have beat Jeremy in '03 if "the king" didn't get the arm pump.

Langston never did a full season in SX on the bigs.

Tedesco been out the last two.

Bubba out in '05 and '08.

Hansen was a rookie and didn't even complete because Joe didn't even want to waste the gatorade.

Demuth? Please don't be stupid.

Ferry raced all summer so he couldn't of been hurt that bad. Same for Burner. Tell them to learn to practice correct so they can make the races.

Suzukie wouldn't even allow DV to ride their bikes all summer.

2 top 5's, 9 top 10's. No letter to the house to say I'm a pussy and I can't talk to your face.

5. If the caretakers of this sport did a better job over the years creating better marketing opportunities for outside sponsors creating more rides.

Guys like Ramsey and the dozen or more other riders capable of top 20 results should not be on the sidelines.

Last time I looked James was a sponsor of the team so he can hire his friends if he wants to.

There are many factors to why a rider doesn't have a ride at a certain point. If you want to sit here and speculate about all the reasons he shouldn't then that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. But on another note, you forget all the stuff he has done and why he has had a long career in the sport and has never burnt any bridges from any team he has ever been on. Not many riders can say that. Yes there are many riders that are just as deserving of a ride. These guys go out there and put their lives on the line every time they put their leg over the bike, whether it's supercross or outdoor racing. It just bugs me that you are going to discredit his 7th overall in the series last year with people out with injuries?! You can say that about any finish of any race with any rider. I hate when people say well if there was one more lap this rider would have won. Or if that person was not injured they would have one. The bottom line is this sport is about who stays healthy and where you finish after the finish line. Thats it, bottom line. Ramsey missed the last 2 rounds of the 08 season due to an injury too. A series would not be complete with out 20 riders on the line no matter who is on the line. All rider's count and it is how you finish the race that matters. Give credit where credit is due. Ramsey has had an impressive career with results to prove it. He is a great role model for this sport and anyone would be lucky to have them work for him. Yes he is older, but times are different. These guys know how to take care of their bodies better and have the best trainers working with them to help their bodies recover. With that said, some of you keep going back to the fact Ramsey is mad because he wasn't told sooner. There is always more to a story than what you know. Remember that. Also remember in 07 that Nathan starting getting top 5 finishes with all of the rider's in the field half way thru the season when he broke both his wrists. Then he came back after almost having to retire to get 7th overall in the series in 08. He only got to ride a few months before the season to get ready and was still recovering from the injury. I think that is pretty dedicated!

If he paid for his ride. (like many do)

I would put my money in the younger option at this point. He has the resume, but he is not an impact guy anymore.

Ive been hearing this quite a bit about many kids parents paying for their ride. I can only think of a few riders out there who im pretty sure are getting their rides paid for but for the most part most of the riders earned it or am I just way off?

I didn't realize how severe his wrist injury was. Video shows a good shot of both wrists Sick He sure looks like he is in excellent shape.
