btw: that reminds me, i did an MX School with Lance Moorewood back in the day ('84) and he had what looked like a bullet hole right through his bicep, in one sire, out the other.

Remember the balls on the end of clutch / brake levers back in the day? well he crashed with a dude that had one broke off and his lever punctured right through his arm, brutal. But this pic is a whole new level!!

That looks more MTB then MX related to me.
That is not a MX bike frontbrake.

There's a "bleeding the brakes" joke in here somewhere, I just haven't been able to put it together yet.

You're supposed to be old school Nor- Cal, you should have raced there many times Smile

What I was getting at was I was at the Lance Moorewood Mx School at Sandhill in '84 on my badass CR 60.

Yikes! I wasnt prepared for what greeted me!

I'm a Civil War buff and frequently check into a forum where there is a warning before you click a link with graphic pictures of Civil War dead and maimed.

Of course the warning sign next to a graphic post is a magnet that you absolutely have to click it to see whats there.

I'd have to say definately one of the more gruesome moto injury pics I've seen.

Hopefully whomever it is is back on track or getting back on track...

You Brits make some great components! One of my bikes is decked out with Hope hubs, skewers, headset, bottom bracket, and brakes. She's the crown jewel of my collection.

Haha, funny shit man! I've got a group photo my dad took of all of us and there was two guys I could never pick out that were older. One I recently found out one was Jason Assad and You must have been the other, I was 10 at the time.

The bummer is I took the photo in to show Neal one day when we worked at MDK Speed ('09) and i haven't been able to find it since. Here's a couple picsof that day on the littleTT/night track they had.

Do you remember the last day when Lance ran over Pete's dog with his van when we were all leaving?

Wasn't me I slept in my box van with my dad, he kept me on a short leash when we camped. There was one other kid on a 60 there Brian Guveia(sp) it might have been him. Neal picked on me that week 'cause I was younger, but later when I started racing closer with him on 80's we got to be friends. I was "Dungey" pumped the first time I ever beat him straight up on a minibike at Mammoth Mtn. in '86.

If I ever find that group photo I will deinitely post it up for you!

Thx Amy and Slip, it is pretty crazy how i have seen things change over the years, just from awareness to accessibility. Back in the day i had to worry everywhere i went if it was going to be accessible or not. Amazing how much it has changed, and not just in "our" sport, but society in general.
