NBC Sports Gold - Pro Tip

If you are watching on a mobile device (phone/tablet) and want to be able to start late and rewind, download Firefox - maybe other browsers work, but I’ve only tried Firefox - and just go to the NBC website. I had to request the desktop version of the site. It will ask you if you want to open the stream in the app, just say no. Blow it up to full screen and you’re good to go, and it lets you rewind/fast forward.
Bit more of a hassle to get to than the app, but at least you can rewind!
