NBC Motos playing back at 110% Speed?

I've been having a weird issue the last few weeks when trying to watch the moto replays on the NBC Sports Gold website, they seem to be playing at 110% speed. It's subtle enough that sometimes you don't even notice but other times depending on the way the camera pans or the section they're riding it looks really obvious. Once you've noticed it, you can't unsee it and it completely spoils the footage.

Has anyone else experienced the same? Logging out of the site and restarting the laptop doesn't fix it. The audio seems to be fine but the speed difference is subtle enough that it's perhaps not noticeable that the audio is sped up. It's driving me mad Pinch

That's actually just how fast Tomac is. He goes 110% speed.

This has happened to me before, in previous seasons. I actually thought they were just trying to make it look more exciting.

This is something radio has been doing for decades. They can squeeze more advertising into an hour that way.

If you are watching via a desktop and using a browser, try to see if the browser needs updating, or possibly if the media plug-in needs updating. NBC now useds Flashplayer (used to be Silverlight), so make sure if you are running Firefox or Safari that you update Flashplayer. With Chrome it's embedded and does not need to be updated via standalone.

But the races are broadcasted live, (welI think there's like a 45 second delay) you can't fast forward into the future. Speeding up an on demand video makes no sense, especially since there are no commericals anyway. I'd say it's either an internet issue or a browser issue

I know sometimes I've had my internet connect act up a little bit so the stream would hiccup a little bit, but the audio would still come through fine, and then the video would speed up to catch back up to the audio. Maybe this is what happened to the OP.

My previous neighbor was in radio, and told me the exact same thing. Said during certain broadcasts (baseball games for example), they could speed up portions of ads throughout the hour enough to run their more expensive accounts more than average. Sometimes increasing up to 115%, could gain them upwards to an additional 5-10 grand per game in revenue. Good call Falcon, I'd forgotten that....

Just get really stoned and it will slow everything down to normal. But don’t get too stoned or the race will be in full blown slow motion. Just kidding. I’ve had that happen a few times. I just figured it was the PC I was on.
