This seems like a very dumb hill to die on. There is no downside to these segments.
If you want to watch up and coming ams, go to youtube, they are a dime a dozen. Chicks like the one I just described are one of a kind.
That's "CORE"!
Some of which include:
Women are more risk averse than men.
Men race moto to potentially increase Sexual Market Value. Women do not have this incentive, as their Sexual Market Value is not earned through achievement. Their value is in their beauty and fertiity, and moto doesn't increase either.
Women are human BEings. Men are human DOings.
Motocross is dangerous, dirty, and demanding. Women typically avoid activities and jobs that have the 3 Ds.
We should welcome women to join the sport and a brief sales pitch during race broadcasts may help. But it may make more economic sense to try to attract males and also to retain the males we have and not lose them to other sports like mountain biking. Changing demographics will not be the sport's friend in the next 5-10 years.
Pit Row
Still, it's a good segment.
Here's my grom on her 86 JR50.
I think expanding the segment of the KTM50s would be an excellent idea. Are they still running this season?
I’m just playing.. obviously, I thought the segment was awesome!
It’s not quite makeup to mud but I’d also like them to branch out and show some of the mums behind the riders. One of my co workers sons made lorrettas this year for the first time and you could tell she was fully into it and her son achieving his dreams was her dream. Why not make it a more women in the sport thing than just about riders. Heck Carmichael and Milsaps both have mums who don’t go long without a mention, there must be others in the youth ranks
But im sure there are males
Doing similar things
