The fact you clowns are complaining about this feature, that runs for a couple minutes during a 4hr show, while there is no racing going on....is a pathetic statement about the MX fan base.

Any teacher who sends a letter home saying your child WILL want a dirt dike after my course is just fine.

My daughter is 4 and she got psyched up by Makeup to Mud. Her favorite rider is AP7 because he did the worm. I'm taking her to Oakland and she's been to Hangtown National twice. I like the segment because it shows the sport has a wide appeal.

I would have loved to have a teacher like her when I was in school. Go to school and watch moto, talk about moto, learn about moto and get to ride moto. That's a win, win, win, win!!!

Thank you! The one on Saturday was good, and I think they should do more of that stuff instead of "women riders". Not hating what so ever

Had very little to do with Women's Pro Motocross. She's a 4th grade teacher that's helping to grow the sport. Good on her!
I think they should do more of those types of stores, as opposed to others

Same, my oldest just turned five, and I always call her in the room for the segments, she gets stoked watching them.

This seems like a very dumb hill to die on. There is no downside to these segments.

For my daughter who is 7 who every weekend races against nothing but boys it's a big deal.

The whole one-armed girl (non-throttle arm/clutch-side) with reversed throttle was pretty cool too. Saw her ride in person, she is legit.

If you want to watch up and coming ams, go to youtube, they are a dime a dozen. Chicks like the one I just described are one of a kind.

My 2 cents. Why just limit this to girls? The sport needs all the help in can get getting kids in it. Why pander to the smallest potential market? Should have features on anyone doing something positive to get kids involved. We need all the help and exposure we can get!!

Some of the M2M episode's have been a little cringy , but I actually dug this one last Saturday night. Having your teacher loving the sport is pretty damned kickass if you ask me. When I was in high school , our wood shop teacher rode offroad stuff. We got him out a couple times at some private tracks , and I have to say he was a super cool guy out of school too. In fact later in life ( I was about 22 I think ? ) Me and some buddies went to his house , smoked a big fat blunt and drank some whiskey haha! Best damn teacher ever!

Maybe playing this segment during a different sport would help promote and or bring awareness to SX/MX. Most people watching are already riding or interested in SX/MX, playing this segment during the event definitely seems to be geared towards females and SX/MX.

There will always be a huge gender inequity in motocross for a variety of reasons.

Some of which include:
Women are more risk averse than men.
Men race moto to potentially increase Sexual Market Value. Women do not have this incentive, as their Sexual Market Value is not earned through achievement. Their value is in their beauty and fertiity, and moto doesn't increase either.
Women are human BEings. Men are human DOings.
Motocross is dangerous, dirty, and demanding. Women typically avoid activities and jobs that have the 3 Ds.

We should welcome women to join the sport and a brief sales pitch during race broadcasts may help. But it may make more economic sense to try to attract males and also to retain the males we have and not lose them to other sports like mountain biking. Changing demographics will not be the sport's friend in the next 5-10 years.

My wife and I both wondered out loud what happens when one kid's uptight mom takes exception to that lady's teaching method.

Still, it's a good segment.

Here's my grom on her 86 JR50.

I think expanding the segment of the KTM50s would be an excellent idea. Are they still running this season?

Chances are pretty good that most parents in Wheeling, WV are a little less uptight than they are alot of other places in the US

So in America it’s ok for a teacher to invite students to her house and hug them as they arrive? ?
I’m just playing.. obviously, I thought the segment was awesome!

I kind of felt for her that clearly it was filmed recently in shitty conditions. I bet she would have liked them to film in the summer. The fact the track was rideable is impressive.

It’s not quite makeup to mud but I’d also like them to branch out and show some of the mums behind the riders. One of my co workers sons made lorrettas this year for the first time and you could tell she was fully into it and her son achieving his dreams was her dream. Why not make it a more women in the sport thing than just about riders. Heck Carmichael and Milsaps both have mums who don’t go long without a mention, there must be others in the youth ranks

My thoughts are that it's great! I don't think it's meant to promote professional WMX, but rather MX in general as an all inclusive sport, and how it's not just for the testosterone filled pros. How about this 1st one? What a fucking awesome teacher! When you were in grade school, tell me you wouldn't have been a little more stoked to go to class if your teacher was all about moto. However, I can understand you not liking it, if you're not into women and moto.....but if that's the case, what are you doing here?
