I can't tell you all how sorry I am that we had technical problems just as the first national of the series was starting. It was two-fold, and MX Sports and our partners at the AMA and Alli take full responsibility for the problems.
First, the TV truck had a sound issue that was not resolved with the internet server and the sound never came on right. I have no doubt that we ruined a good couple of hours of everyone's Saturday afternoons, and I apologize for that. There were people working on fixing it right up until the TV shows started, and then it got sorted and everything looked and worked great on SPEED. I have asked the TV production people to get us the archived first moto as soon as possible this morning to post -- the first 250 moto was amazing and we blew it but not getting the sound right.
The second problem is going to take a little more time. Our servers in Colorado suffered a "denial of services" overload that crashed the whole system, taking the online timing and scoring with it. This is the same server that carries timing and scoring for supercross and it's never had a problem before. A lot of people working on not only finding out what happened and securing the system, but that doesn't change the lack of information that went out on Saturday, and I apologize for that as well.
What's most disappointing is that all of the riders and all of the teams, as well as the Dirt Diggers and the whole motocross industry that's involved in the series worked very hard to put on a great show, and it was a truly epic race. The fact that our most core fans couldn't see it online and then couldn't find the results is unacceptable, and we are going to do all we can to make sure it never happens again.
Again, I apologize and MX Sports takes full responsibility in allowing this to happen at such a critical moment -- the start of what promises to be a fantastic motocross season. I am really sorry we let everyone down with these problems.

The telecast was excellent and thats the one that is most important to me. Makes for a great weekend knowing that Sunday afternoon will end with Moto.
Thank you for jumping in with both feet and not disappearing behind the curtain to avoid the projectiles that have been thrown your way.
You are a class act.
The Shop
(and shit happens.... oh well)
Want a t-shirt?
I owned up to being a dumbass
DC, atleast things can only get better from here.
How many times last year did we have sound issues? Quite a few. You would think that you would learn from them? Or possibly "test" out the feed the day before to verify that the video and sound worked?
just a question
Your hard work is appreciated.
Oh wait, not a goodbye thread... nevermind!
I was pretty good actually.
Look, you get what you pay for. I'd be much more pissed had I paid good money for that.
Actually, I come from the old-school where you didn't know who won a race until Cycle News came out a few days later. Then, in the late 80's early 90's you could call these 900-numbers to get race results. Disappointing? Yes. But I have a hard time building-up any indignation over the fact that I had to watch a LIVE motocross event without sound.
You on the other hand......
Sorry couldn't resist the set up.
Pit Row
Thank you for letting the track get rough it was great racing
can tell who did their homework and who didn't
Also, if you guys could have an option to remove the facebook sidebar, that would be very welcome.
I do hope things go smoother at the next race. It was a disappointment for sure, but nothing will stop me from watching again next time.
My buddies and I had great video feed all races long, just no sound. It was awesome for us to be able to watch racing, on a saturday afternoon while having drinks with the wives by the lake. Actually the lack of sound wasn't an issue with the women around We watched the races, enjoyed it, knew exactly what was happening and went on to have a great saturday evening, happy to have been able to watch MX live.
Thanks for the efforts and for providing us with the chance to watch MX live and free. when it's free I don't really feel the right to bitch and moan like some spoiled pre-school children.
Thanks for the explanation DC
