These are my picks for the ten best-looking stock Husqvarna motocross models of all time. The first link is my written version where Steve Matthes, myself and the Bro Show, Andy Jefferson bench race about my picks and the second is a video version of my list.
Classic Steel: Top Ten Husqvarnas

first production bike with Ohlins
The Shop
That bike is a work of art.
I own a minty 1976 CR125, and all the youngsters who see it just shake their heads in awe at it. They've never seen a motorcycle where the obvious nature of it's intent is so basic and true. PURE form follows function.
Most aesthetically appealing MX machines ever produced ( with apologies to same era CR Hondas )
.
The Huskies of that era are the best looking bikes...
Ever.
Also looks like you can damn near do a top end without even taking the shrouds off (did they use a 450 frame?)
Pit Row
I bought one of these in early 1981 as a left over. 1980 OR 250. Still was i believe $2600. When we ran the Big Bear 100 it started and finished on an old horse track. They stipulated in riders meeting...left side of horse track is Husky ONLY!!! These things would easily run 85MPH. The Jap bikes would strain to get to 70. Plus the Husky has straight cut primary gears so had a whine like a jet. My first race on it made 4 laps, which was right at 80 miles. Should have had a top 5 (B class) at that race but made a judgement error. The good old days. 12 inches of damper rod fork travel. LOVED IT!
And...this was my first “real MX bike”. Actually mine was a ‘73 & this is a ‘74...but the looked identical aside from the white plastic fenders on the ‘74. It was gorgeous...but super slow. I had mine ported to the hilt, and it was lots faster...when it didn’t break.
Same year KTM, not a hell of a lot of difference in telephone pole carrying technology.
