These are my picks for the ten best-looking stock Husqvarna motocross models of all time. The first link is my written version where Steve Matthes, myself and the Bro Show, Andy Jefferson bench race about my picks and the second is a video version of my list.

The Silver Bullet was the crescendo of All-Things "shiny" tank Husky.

I saw Matthes post this on twitter. Such a cool write up, I think you nailed the top 5, all such awesome bikes. Glad none of the mid 00’s and early 10’s made it in😂

The 1974 Mag250 is the best looking moto of all-time, not just Huskys (and I am a lifelong Bultaco rider).

and Blenzall? Holy crap that takes me back - the smell of a starting line full of old two strokes running Blenzall is amazing

My first Dirtbike was a 250cr, that had the red tank like this, but a 1976 model. I bought it in 1980 for 700.00

another old guy voting for red tankers from the 60's and early 70's, followed by the black tank 78 and the red tankers with laydown shocks, before any of the white ones. And before anyone says it, get off my lawn!

Exactly. A guy who posts a vid saying he thinks of Huskys as having started in the 80s is like a guy talking about Porsches who says he thinks it all started once they got past those silly air-cooled engines. It's heresy, I say!

I own a minty 1976 CR125, and all the youngsters who see it just shake their heads in awe at it. They've never seen a motorcycle where the obvious nature of it's intent is so basic and true. PURE form follows function.

There it is ... late 70's Huskys,
Most aesthetically appealing MX machines ever produced ( with apologies to same era CR Hondas )

As an owner of the Hondas you mentioned, I concur...

The Huskies of that era are the best looking bikes...

Ever.

The later BMW bikes were the best looking Huskys ever made, KTM certainly thinks so since they copied the look.

I don't know about that hog, but I always thought the BMW-era CR125 just looked right.

Also looks like you can damn near do a top end without even taking the shrouds off (did they use a 450 frame?)

The only thing wrong with your post is that you didn’t show the other side! Amazingly clean and simplistic as motocross bikes were meant to be.

They look great in pictures, but they looked far better in person. Loved them.

What an utterly absurd comment. Surely you jest. So, did this bike come stock with the telephone pole carrying case, or was it an option?

2016-2018 were the best looking dirtbikes ever built. They went backwards in ‘19 and will be lucky to ever surpass the appealing looks of the earlier model.

I bought one of these in early 1981 as a left over. 1980 OR 250. Still was i believe $2600. When we ran the Big Bear 100 it started and finished on an old horse track. They stipulated in riders meeting...left side of horse track is Husky ONLY!!! These things would easily run 85MPH. The Jap bikes would strain to get to 70. Plus the Husky has straight cut primary gears so had a whine like a jet. My first race on it made 4 laps, which was right at 80 miles. Should have had a top 5 (B class) at that race but made a judgement error. The good old days. 12 inches of damper rod fork travel. LOVED IT!

By far...the most beautiful bike I’ve ever owned. It was my second “real MX bike”.

And...this was my first “real MX bike”. Actually mine was a ‘73 & this is a ‘74...but the looked identical aside from the white plastic fenders on the ‘74. It was gorgeous...but super slow. I had mine ported to the hilt, and it was lots faster...when it didn’t break.

I grew up in the Michigan woods at the Jackpine Enduro pits every year as a young man and Terry Cunningham was a god to me and my brother. That 1989-90 Husky on the start line with TC kicking it with his right leg standing next to the bike is a great memory for me.

Same year KTM, not a hell of a lot of difference in telephone pole carrying technology.
