My only compaint about the racing yesterday is the design of the track

Please make more races like this where the start doesn't take up the full length of the stadium on the long side of the stadium.

Agreed. That track + Dry dirt = Terrible racing. Hoping the night races will keep moisture in the dirt. These guys can’t even attack the track. They have to tip toe around corners cus it’s blue grooved dirt.

It was the same for everyone. It was interesting to see it. Once.

I believe it was said they toned this one down because it was the first race back

Agreed. A long straight in the middle is pointless. Daytime races on a hard pack dry track remind me of the navy moto x championships.

Rice-Eccles is much smaller than those stadiums

I hate to complain, since live racing is so much better than no racing. But the track did not make for great racing.

I did somewhat enjoy the dry loose turns. Only because it somewhat reminded me of local tracks and it was cool to see how the best guys navigate that stuff, since you dont see it often. I didnt care about it being in the day time, or no fans or show etc. That stuff is just gravy. But hopefully the next layout will be better. Either way, glad racing is back.

Any compliments OP?

No complaints from me. I got to see a race!

Moving forward....slow em down and make it more technical.

It is going to be difficult to make much improvement in SLC with the hot, windy, dry air. The track crew is going to be chasing this dirt for 3 weeks.

They did race, so there is that.

Can still change the layout of the track, especially the start.

Arenacross style track was less than stellar.... Virtually no whoops...

Looked fine to me. Some people remember when the tracks didn't have to be perfect dirt with perfect prep. Shut up and ride.

I thought the whole thing was awesome!

Not seeing any SX for about 3 months makes (at least for me) some of the minor things that maybe could have been better, pretty meaningless.

All riders face the same track conditions.

So many want to complain about the announcers too - I hardly even hear them. I'm watching the race - they are just background noise for the most part.

Honestly, my favorite part was watching them flattrack it in a few corners. It was something different and fun to watch.

Perfect time to go up into the seats, no spectators so plenty of space. Also bring in the over/ under bridge setup.

I would say it had nothing to do with being dry and flat.
It's more that is was like a local fair race layout that only led to HIGH speeds.
