Awesome review, thanks for doing these. I had seen the cover only of this issue previously so it is cool to learn what was happening page by page. I started riding in '73 and I believe it was '75 when I discovered Dirt Bike and especially in those early years everything was changing at a rapid pace; cool to see! That said, many aspects of being into the sport have not changed THAT much, it remains one of the best sports/pastimes around.

Anyone have a rough idea what a complete first year of Dirt Bike in the Dirt Bike Magazine binder might be worth? Nearly all the issues except the one with the 125 shootout are in very good to excellent condition. I'm not really looking to sell right now but it would be nice to have an idea, however rough, of what those bound first 12 issues would be worth. Every so often I get nostalgic and go back and read them especially enjoying From the Saddle, particularly the tale about cleaning out the Great Yellow truck and an old McD french killing killing a bird who tried to eat it (I assume he made that up).

This is so cool, thanks Tony. I used to look forward to getting our issue in the mail as a pre-teen. I would do a quick scan then settle into some Super Hunky. Damn that dude was funny.

The Pulp show with Super Hunky is a classic. He talks about how he lost his job after roosting Roland Hinz. Hinz had roosted him with a dune buggy or something so he returned the favor.
