Dude i gotta say those are some fantastic pictures! I feel like i'm about to eat sand roost in my face on some of those shots, well done indeed. You can give GuyB a run for his money.

Legend, made me feel like I was there, what was your kit? 70-200 Canon 2.8?

Wow.. are you a full time moto photographer? If not.. you should be.

What kind of shutter speed / aperture are you using to achieve those awesome results?

Cheers

great pics. It was great racing. I like how your shots really show how rough the track was.

Ha, thanks - saw you around quite a bit. Girlfriend said you gave her a solid head nod when she was holding my camera while I was in the restroom.

Thanks for the kind words everyone else, feel free to save and use as you'd like (desktop backgrounds, etc)

Majority of these shots are @ f/2.8 somewhere around 1/8000s with the iso adjusted accordingly. Effortless wide open shooting really.

5d mkiv body.

Was using a 300mm L 2.8 II lens for most of what I posted here but did also play around with a 24-105 f/4 L II and a 24mm f/1.4 L when I could get close enough.

All of these came from fan accessible areas, no press credentials currently although I would like to some day. Half of the battle is navigating the crowds towards an open space on the fences.

Ah, you should have said hi. Smile

That's good stuff from the sidelines. You showed that it is possible if you hustle.

At Glen Helen we have to move through spectator areas, then find where the entrances are in the chain link, move people out of the way to get in/out.
