That thing is rad! what is with the big ends on the grips? is that so their hands dont slip off the end of the bars or something?

Very cool! My dad got my son one of those when he was born. He is 5 months old now and it is hanging up next to my bike and my older son's bike just waiting to be ridden. Can't wait until he gets there. Good luck with your son, man!

Thanks I can't wait till he starts cruising around on it.

The bar ends are so there hands don't slip off and no scratches on any cars..

These bikes are great. My son is 3 we have had him on one since he was 2. He jumped right on a bicycle and rode without training wheels. He rides it at the track every weekend. Says he's practicing his freestyle.

Thats awesome. Looks like he wore the tires off that thing. May time for a 50.

It is that their small fingers dont get hurt when they are railing a berm and dragging the bars on the ground Wink
However, the suspension looks quite stiff.

Do they sell these in the Honda/Yamaha models anywhere or are buying the bike and putting stickers on them?

WE bought the Trek kickster, we should have just gotten the Strider though. The seat goes lower on the strider, she is still too short for the kickster. Thinking about getting rid of it, and buying a Strider.

Those things are the best idea ever. My son got one before he was one for christmas. By the time he was one he was using it. At 2 and a half years old he was riding a ten inch bicycle with no training wheels. At 3 and a half he is standing up pedaling, launching off home made wood ramps and doing wheelies. The kid has the moto infection.

Hey guys, long time lurker here. I just wanted you guys to know that at Strider we are huge fans and our main goal is to grow the sport and get kids riding sooner! We aren't some huge toy company with just another kids product. Most of us at the office ride and race on a regular basis. VicDaMoan03, we offer Cobra, Honda, KTM, Suzuki, and Yamaha officially licensed co-branded bikes.

That is cool. There are a lot of races for the striders out there. This season our local series started a Saturday night Strider event. It is a great event for both the parents and their kids!

Thats what we were hoping for too, but trust me thats too early, we had a near miss and got very lucky. He wont be back on a pw until he is 4. Unless your planning on putting training wheels on it and dumbing it down alot with the throttle screw.

God damn I love threads like this!

You guys that have kids getting up to the age of being able to crawl onto a bike......lets just say I'm a jealous man. That goes for any of you guys that were / are lucky enough to have kids to enjoy the sport with. me? I have to live through my friends kids.....but I enjoy every minute of it.

I consider myself lucky enough to have a bunch of awesome riding buddies who have some great kids.

One of ( if not the most ) regrets in my life.....is that I didn't have any kids.

Check the Strider website. We do our events independent of them. Regardless it is a blast! It gives the youngest kids something to do to be inclusive during a weekend of racing. I know when I was a kid Byron ran BMX at half time between motos. Maybe they could try something like this to entertain the crowd...

All national USA BMX races have Strider classes. You can always check out the event calender on our website for races near you. We had two Strider specific national races this year, one in Rapid City, SD and the other in Sarasota, FL and combined had 300 entries from 10 different countries. It's a great way to get kids started!
