Great pics! That Tomac gate drop slip slide is... well...unfortunate
I'm surprised more teams didn't use those tire covers on their way to the line keeping mud out of the knobbies.. I saw Team France used them and it looks like Roczen's rear tire is clean as well.

After the first gate drop, I noticed more and more team swapping wheels/tires with a freshie and carried the rear of the bike up to the gate.
