So yeah, let me preface this by saying I DO have a life, a Wife, a job, do lots of MX riding and plenty to do so I apologize for such a nerd topic, which I know it is. But hey, I'm obsessed with all things MX/SX, all the races, Pulp MX, Vital, my KTM's and my MX games. But anyway, I was going thru all the games I've collected thru the years. Here's my current list. Let me know if there are any others out there that I am missing. And if anyone has any I'm missing, work with me!

Motocross Madness 1 (PC)
Motocross Madness 2 (PC)
Mcgrath Supercross 98 (PS1)
McGrath Supercross 2000 (PS1)
EA Supercross 2000 (PS1/N64)
Excite Bike 64 (N64)
EA Supercross (PS1)
Supercross Circuit (PS1)
Ricky Carmichael Championship Motocross (PS1)
RC Championship Motocross 2001 (PS1)
Mcgrath Supercross World (PS2)
MX Rider (PS2) Rare, cool game.
Freekstyle (PS2) At least it has Albie in it.
RC MX2002 (Xbox/PS2)
RC MX Superfly (Xbox/PS2)
MX Unleashed (Xbox)
MTX Mototrax (Xbox)
MX vs ATV Unleashed (Xbox/PC)
Jamie Little MX World Tour (Xbox)...yes, even that.
MX vs ATV Untamed(Xbox 360)
MX Simulator (PC)
MX vs ATV Reflex (Xbox 360/PC/PS3)
MX vs ATV Alive (Xbox 360)
MUD FIM World Championship Motocross (Xbox 360/PS3)
RC Motocross Matchup (Android)
Motocross Madness (PC)...terrible
Mad Skills
MXGP 1 (Xbox 360/PS4)
MX vs ATV Supercross (Xbox 360)
MXGP 2 (Xbox One)
MX vs ATV Supercross Encore Official Track Edition (Xbox One)
MXGP 3 (Xbox One)
MX vs ATV All Out (pre-ordered Xbox One)
**Hoping for that Milestone Supercross game to be added to pre-order at some point!)

Now there are more out there, I'm sure. And I know there are Vita versions of MUD and MXGP plus a PSP version of Reflex and an upcoming Switch version of MXGP 3. Haven't located any of those older portable games yet at right price.

All my McGrath copies are disc only so hoping to get like real copies with case/manuals at some point.

I also think there was a Mcgrath/Pastrana PS1 game. Not sure. And I'm sure there are some older PC games I'm missing. Some may be worth it. Some not. And dyeah, there is MX Bikes but if going to play that I'll just play Sim.

Fire away, fellas.

PS. I wish there was actually a PC Motocross manager style game where you control real factory riders and teams, go to races, fight for results, etc. That would be interesting. Prob no market for that though, I'm sure.

Yea, the ATV Fury games were MX based and the third edition included bikes. I felt this was the start, at least to me, of the mx vs atv games to actually include atv's with the bikes.

MX Rider is real cool. It was made by Atari. It was kinda MXGP before MXGP. It had the full MX1 and MX2 license. All the real tracks and riders and bikes. Track walk, rear brake, cool hud, even had in game PA announcer calling race. It was when GL and Brownie were overseas. Great game. Tons of camera views and replays. Catch up AI is kinda bad but it's a game I like a lot.

It's weird. There were several games I thought had a lot of potential but just never got a shot due to the side of our sport, I guess.

EA Supercross was a great series, Supercross Circuit...minus being so fast and close camera angles...was cool. MX Rider was solid and esp MTX could have been epic with further iterations. Everyone was all about Unleashed but I thought MTX was much more realistic in track design, scale and capturing the whole MX atmosphere.

Nice list. EA Supercross 2001 was actually just called Supercross. Got that. One of the best along with EA Supercross 2000.

SX superstar. Forgot about that. There was also that Yamaha Supercross wii game.

We hear our sport is better financially now...maybe... but man when MC was around there were tons of games...albeit crapoy ones...and all kinds of cool collectibles.

If anyone has anything MX gaming wise please hit me up.

I didn't see Motocross Mania on your list!

For its time, it had one of the best first person cameras.

The sport was better financially in the late 90's to mid 2000's.

Seems like there was a lot more MX related games back then for sure but a lot of them were not that great. That being said at least MX was on the map.

EA is a gaming giant. I can see why they couldn't be bothered in doing another MX/SX games but just imagine if they did. They would blow everyone out of the water. The amount of money they have plus all the talent they have working for them. Add in that they have the rights to all the MLB and NFL stadiums there's no doubt in my mind that no one would even be close. An authentic SX game with the real stadiums would be epic.

Game was bad, not awful. It came out a little after MCM2 so it was quickly left behind.

I'd really like to read a feature article on the history of some of these games or a developer like Rainbow Studios. I love that Nordic bought the remains of Rainbow Studios after THQ blew up but I can't honestly say they're still my favorite mx game dev. None the less, they have the most storied past with MX games and they truly did revolutionize offroad racing physics. They also managed to create a game for Sony that did reach mainstream success with ATV Offroad Fury.

Just my opinion...but I kinda take exception with the Rainbow "revolutionized off-road physics" theory. Reflex, yes had excellent physics and they hit upon something special there even if the game still had its issues. As did Alive but at its core had solid Simcade physics. Those two games are, far and away, the stand outs for Rainbow and best in class, even to this day in 2017, and both are as good or better than everything else we have seen thus far.

Every other Rainbow game has been overscaled and mostly over exaggerated thus far. Yes, you can say Unleashed had the start of more realistic physics but it was always destroyed by tracks two miles wide and a pre load system that propelled you into the air like a hot air balloon. That's hardly revolutionary.

Those two games...Reflex/Alive.. were pretty darn good for the most part..minus Alive having such few good tracks...but I'd take EA Suoercross/MX Superfly/MTX Mototrax over Unleashed/ Untamed and MXGP over Encore. So I'm not sure.

However, they do have a storied history and I DO think they have the ability to make a great, fun, yet mostly realistic feeling simcade. I just don't think they've really done it but on a couple of occasions. And MCM2.

But I do credit them with being the mainstay in MX gaming. There's no denying that. For that I am thankful. And I think we can add Milestone to that list as well since they've been at it since 2012 with MUD.

To me, Encore's huge flaw is the clutch and preload. You can't carry momentum like you could in Reflex or in MXGP 2's Stadium series. Everything revolves around clutching and push up pre loading to do pretty much everything which is BS.

Encore has some beautiful replica tracks that I'm thankful for...albeit off, scale wise. But the constant necessity to clutch and pre load just ruins it along with the excessive speed and exaggerated jump length that is possible. Hopefully All Out is All New!

I respect your opinion on the physics thing. I was referring to MCM2 and then ATV Offroad Fury and MX Unleashed on console. Those were the first games to make timing and flow important because of the physics. Just my opinion though.

I agree that MCM2 did raise the bar. And yeah I can agree Unleashed did improve flow and timing much more than Superfly as that game was clunky. But Unleashed lost it to me being so off scale and that horrendous push up preload that sent you to the moon. MTX at least had some sense of traction and gravity And you had to use throttle control and braking which was non existent in Unleashed.

But hey, in a way I think we're both somewhat right on this. They revolutionized some things but really missed it on some other really fundamental elements. Perplexing to this day.

Unleashed might of been off scale wise but there's no denying how much fun that game was. Growing up I logged tons of hours on that game.

The split screen battles were endless.

Silkolene Honda Motocross GP - PC - This is my favorite that no one seems to mention. Late 90s GP game for the PC.
