I know he is known for supercross but MC really hauled ass outdoors in 95 and 96.

This is pretty much what got me into racing. I started getting into it right at this time, when I was just an 8 year old kid. That was the definition of unstoppable there for a while.

I love those pants... I remember that year, 1996, in SX Jeremy had special stuff done to his Fox gear at numerous rounds, and cool buttpatches at every round too.

Anyone know what the deal was with his boots in the second picture? I don't remember him wearing anything but Alpinestars.

That are old school Alpinestars boots.
I don't know why exactly he was wearing those at that race.

I can't help but think that every time Reed looks at that picture (top) he thinks "If I could go back in time and redo 5 seconds of my life, it would be right here. If only I had looked to the left."

It's a sick picture but every time I look at it I think "Damn... if only he was looking to the left."

Yes, I agree.
That would make that picture just perfect.

This one together with RC is pretty good too.

Yup,I agree,I wish he had been looking left at MC. I've been thinking that since the night in Phoenix when I took that photo. I have a 16x20 print of it hanging in my livingroom. Smile

Great shot.

How did we even hold races back in those days without Acerbis markers lining the course? Man everyone must have been cutting the course right and left................

Ever notice that when pictures of McGrath are posted on any website, it is always either the Honda era or the Yamaha era? I think people (including McGrath) try to forget about that year with Suzuki!

Attn: Yellow n Jefro. So, those boots... That picture was taken during the practice of the '95 Vegas SX. He was wearing those boots to break them in for the main event in which he had planned to wear a throw back RJ Fox get up (red/white/blue), retro painted Bell moto 6 included- to celebrate passing RJ on the all time win list (butt patch said "RJ who?") Most people never saw the rest of the out fit because of the famous "lights out" SX, where MC ended up pulling out of the race. Cheers
