My 2019 Long Term Test, the “other bike” that didn’t do too well in this year’s shootout: KTM 450 SX-F...

It’s brand new and I get to go thru the entire set-up and break in on my own & I won’t have to share it with EVERYONE-ELSE! Laughing

If ya look close, you’ll see it’s simply stock with ODI McGrath bars and a set of Benny’s graphics. I’m gonna break it in, dial in the suspension, play with the maps and see how she feels as I put about 5-6 hours on her.

Then it’s off to Twisted Development for a box stock dyno run and after that we’ll start adding a few goodies. I’m going to stick to a product list that’s in-line with the Rocky Mountain ATV-MC Team sponsors since they’re my “KTM R&D Team” for all our carbon goodies (my company, CDG, makes various carbon items for this team and Rockstar Husqvarna).

Carbon-fiber Transponder and Instrumentation bracket “C’Lo 1”

Carbon-fiber Master Cylinder Guards “Brembo Works Clutch” & “Team Production Frt Brake”

These parts will be avail from CDG & ASV in the near future...along with some other goodies like a disc guard that’s actually a GUARD! (Like some of the thicker/tougher factory parts).

Notice that my bike ain’t got that stuff! Angry
We’re just now developing ‘18-‘19 production stuff for Brembo (KTM/Husky) & Magura (‘19 Husky). Oh, and...did ya know you can buy the Brembo “Factory” Clutch Master cylinder? Ruh-Roh!

Well, it’s raining STUPID here and I won’t get to ride until Friday. I’ll start in here and take it to “Builds” when we start messing with things.

Our Carbon Goodies for “production” bikes will be avail...
KTM: 18 Factory Edition/‘19 SX-F & XC-F = Feb 2019
Husky: 18 Rockstar Edition/‘19 FC/FX same as above! (IF they get me the Magura CL master!)
I’m estimating $39 per side for Vital Members WITH a Racing License (yes, that’s how I play it!). If I have to explain why I want actual racers to have them first...well, then...where gonna need a few beers and some time to discuss these matters...
Grinning

Previous years will be coming on-line there-after...& many will fit already...we just haven’t fit checked to be sure...yet.

The over-priced and NOT NEEDED Brembo Factory Master-Cylinder is “supposedly” available at KTM Hard Parts. Same goes for the cool looking brake components.

Hey, the test is scheduled to take place in your neck of the woods. Maybe we'll just pit out of your garage. Spares will obviously be needed! We may need that NOS "in the box" engine for baseline testing.Woohoo

I have sold and given away soooo much of that year model stuff over the past 25 or so years. Never considered myself overly interested in the 250's, but always a 125 goober of the highest order! Now that I am old and fat and needing the 250 to haul me around I've started picking up a few things along the way again.

I think we have officially hijacked the thread. Might as well add 80 model porn! How is your 78/79 coming along FTE?

So, if I have a 1980 CR125 engine in great shape...you can dig up the rest?

Ya know what? We're going to have to do this and we can take over a part of ML512's shop...and that way we can drag his young butt into all of this madness. His dad will be STOKED!
