Been subscribing to mxgp-tv since 2014. I remember watching some old races a few months ago. Turns out that if you want to watch anything from past seasons you’ve already paid for you need to pay an extra 5 euro for an archive pass. As if 99 euros isn’t enough?
Jesus this thing got me fired up! Tbh the only reason to continue to subscribe is Paul Malin. That guy rocks.
Probably still worth the bucks paid, but you don’t pay for something twice.

Almost as bad as MotoGP charging for live timing even if you pay for the video pass.

Hi.
Ive bought mxgp packages for quite a few years. I bought early bird access in december. Why can’t I watch ANY premium videos at all?

Me:
Hello Goldie.
Thank you for your answer. Although it is strange, and inifinetley much better, that you were able to watch the previous seasons races years after as late as 2021. I vividly remember watching some races from 2015 last year or 2017 MXoN a few months ago. My issue is basically I’ve subscribed to watch races live or on demand every season since 2014.
Is it much to ask to be able to watch whatever I want from 2014 and onwards when I’ve already paid for the season passes?
Would you subscribe to Netflix if you had to pay extra for a movie or series released two years ago just because it was released two years ago even though you have subscribed to the service for 5 years? Both you and me would try out Amazon prime or HBO if this was the case.
Kind regards
A non returning customer.
Long time subscriber as well, and I've just stopped watching old races unfortunately.
The Shop
It came in last season, just as they went to Cleeng (sp?) for their accounts, I think.
It shits me, but, I'm not going to stop watching The World Championships because of an extra 5 Euros.
I was thinking of trying MotoWorld TV, but I think you might only get the MX2 and MXGP races - I want to see the EMX races, and the Qualifiers if they are back on - I'm not sure if they are going back to them this year?
It sure seems like the supercross video package is a much better deal as of now. I thought the mxgp solution was much better up untill they changed to Cleeng. The player they are using downright sucks. I use a iPhone to stream to my TV through chromecast, but only option you get with the new system is AirPlay. I want my chromecast and MXGP and to live in relative peace in my living room. Not to get pissed on by wonky AirPlay every single time I get to enjoy a cold one and watch some fantastic racing.
Not honest at all. Absolutely no respect for the customers.
They know we will ultimately pay, because the other choice is not being able to watch.
I’d expect some form of consistency tho. Not «ok, you pay now bitch! You need this and even though you had this, you need it again».
... and you even get commentary!
But the way they act with people who give them money for many years.
A little more respect would be appreciated.
Pit Row
That site is as dodgy as it gets.
I signed up not with the intention of buying a package but to confirm what I thought and I was right.
First, to even get onto the site you have to give your name, address and phone number to just to apply to get on to it, all without them telling you who you're giving your personal data to, and why - I made sure all the info wasn't my own and used a junk address. It took a few days for ''approval''.
There is nowhere on their website that identifies who or where they are or who you will be paying. The privacy policy is so...err private it doesn't say whose policy it is and the terms of use and terms & conditions links take you to a 3rd party company selling off-the-shelf policies for websites!
Not only are they trading illegally (certainly in terms of UK and EU laws), their content cannot possibly be legitimately sourced.
Just a shame Cleeng/Luongo is trying to squeeze more money out of something that’s supposed to be a fun hobby and interest of mine. Cleeng -subscriber retention specialist. Retention? Sounds like a fancy way of saying «we find creative ways to get you to pay for content you may have purchased in the past. Oh yeah, we’ll also post races on YouTube, mmmmkay?»
I doubt you’ll find many casual fans on that site. Mostly die hard moto guys there I think. Let us nerd out and bench race. Don’t take more than you need to. That money is most likely going into mx one way or another.
