MX53 operates on a wider range of surfaces, has a new tread pattern and is overall a better tyre

Plus the 53 is heavier because it has more knobby surface area which translates to more rubber and less sidewall flex so you get less chance of sidewalk pinching the tube on those big g-outs or O-J’s.....

I was not a fan of the 52 at all, but Keefer's test of the 53 sounds very promising.

Tried out the 53 on some harder packed New England tracks like 207 and a local SX and loved it. I hated the 52 on my previous experience with it.

the 53 front is sick if your conditions go from loamy to hard pack

Got to get plenty of time on the 53 front during the 250 shoot out with ML512 last month...they were better in the softer stuff than the 52.

So...

I just got a set for my 450.

Thank's guys, our terra firma ranges from packed red clay to river silt. I guess i'll try the 53's.

I have the 53 on my CRF, I ride mostly Milestone, works excellent there all day.
