Okay guys I’m in the market for a new stand. My current stand is broken. It’s a matrix stand. The plastic center is broke and the rubber is the only thing holding it together right now. (This is a old picture when it wasn’t broke, just wanted to show the stand). So I like this stand as far as it’s light weight and it keeps the bike off the ground high enough for cleaning / working on etc. I’d like to know what stands you guys have and could recommend for me. Pros & cons of what you’ve got. I’d like to be able to get one with a tool tray in the bottom. Photo

I second the Harbor Freight. Look in some magazines for a discount coupon for $19.95. https://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/lifts-stands/dirt-bike-stand-67151.html

I have the steel one from motosport, $45 and it has a thick rubber top that the rivet heads don't stick above so they don't scratch your frame. Doesn't come with a tool tray but I bet the one from the matrix will fit.

Yup, just bought the Harbor Freight stand a couple weeks ago when I picked up my project YZ250.

Used a 20% discount too. Super cheap and does the job.

I’ve got a harbor freight stand for my quad right now. It’s good but it bugs me it’s not square. And by that I mean it’s a little tweaked in how it was welded up. It’s a decent stand and does it’s job. I was looking at the Works Connection stand also. Really tho my only gripe about the harbor freight stand is the bikes front wheel touches the ground. I’d like for it to be a little taller

I love this one:
Polisport Folding Stand
Works awesome and takes almost no space in your trunk.

I reqlly like the Matrix A2 stands, I had a couldnt le of the plastic ones too and they fatigue/crack eventually. They also make a nice looking steel one at a great price, looks minimalistic and similar to the one that Zesiger posted a few replies up.

The MotoConcepts stand is amazing. Mine has lasted 7-8 years now. Even fell out of the bed of my truck at full speed once and it still works like a charm. It’s starting to show its age a little now, but nothing I’m worried about, another 7-8 years are left in it I’m sure.

Plus the nice thing about the plastic stands, is when loading up you don’t have to worry about them beating your swingarm up.

My matrix stand is junk too, i have broke 2 of them like this now. They will give you a discount code for a new one but i really dont want to buy another one that is just going to break again.

Pro Circuit Works stands for me. They have been great for years.

The pad on the Harbor Freight stands is kind if small, and they weigh a lot.

Slasher bare bones stand retails for about $34 depending on what shop you visit. Made of steel so it's strong and durable

Something metal.... trust me the Cycra plastic stand that was thrown in with my last KTM was the biggest waste of time. I love Cycra products, but plastic shouldn’t be used on a stand.

I'll second that recommendation, I own two of them along with a Matrix plastic stand and a steel stand. The folding Polisport is great for taking the bike to the track the way it folds up and doesn't take up any room to store.

The 250 is mine, the other bike is my girlfriends, the dragster and boat are her dads. I crew for the car at the track but have never been out in the boat. Man sure loves his toys.

And to contribute to the stand conversation, I considered the matrix metal stand at the same price but chose this one instead because the matrix stand has the thin flat rubber with the rivets sticking up above the rubber.

Is there no way to quote someone and remove the picture? Threads wouldn't be so long if we could just quote the text only.

The Pro Circuit stand is made of aluminum, not steel. Those are the ones I was recommending.

I stand corrected, only aluminum stand I will ever use! Thing is rock solid.
