Looking to get into mx sim, does anyone know of any prebuilt computers that will run the game fairly decent? I'm not really looking to spend anymore than $1500 for one.

I was just looking at PC's the other day, and you can get something pretty powerful in the 1k range, certainly enough for MX sim. Check out the link below and I think you'll find something.

Well the game has been out for about 10 years, so you could get just about any PC from anywhere that's over $300 and it should run it okay. Honestly though, the game is outdated and the guys who play it now have for a real long time (so if you want multi-player, you're gonna have a bad time). Why not get an xbox and get the Milestone series games? No set-up and they are great out of the box! Okay I'm a bit biased...I'm also an IT guy and still recommend an xbox.

Or, for $517.92 you can get a pretty decent gaming rig. Check out the reddit link below. The mid-ground pc in this list is also very good. If you are thinking of playing other games I would go with the mid-tier set-up. Also remember you'll need a monitor and gamepad if you don't have one already. You don't necessarily need the gamepad (xbox style controller) but for mxsim I highly recommend it.

Mx sim is basically made to run on almost any computer. Spending over $1000 on a pc nowadays you can EASILY run it at 120fps. It is probably one of the least demanding games out there. Also, with the new gpu's coming out, you can get a gtx1070 or gtx1080 that is 3 gens old but can still run almost any game maxed out with high fps.

Also, if possible I recommend just building a pc, there are websites out there where it basically does it for you so theres not much guesswork. Prebuilds sound nice but usually you lose $100+ just because its prebuilt by someone. Also, make sure you have more than just an exhaust fan on the pc case, you need fresh air so consider putting 1 or 2 intake fans right away.

With a 800$ pc you can run mx sim decently
With a 1300$ pc you can go race the nationals on mx sim easily.
The most important thing for that game is that you need a CPU that can put a lot of power by using a single core.
So i'd recommend you an i7, like a 7700 or similar.
And paired with a 1080gtx or 2070 you will be fine.

Don´t know much about pc building, but it will be a blast if you put the time in on mxs! So many good memories, but I don´t have the time to be competitive anymore =P

The game is so badly optimized that you will need a very very powerfull pc to be able to enjoy it. By enjoy it I mean being able to race online with +20 players on the current user made tracks and see a couple objects. You will definitly need a powerfull pc.

I have an i7 3790k, 24GB RAM, and a RTX2070 Super and run it flawlessly.

Only complaint about this computer is that the processor is 1/2 as fast as the new stuff. Ive ran the same rig since 2014 except i got the graphics card for modern warfare. Its just now time to upgrade the rest.

Spend big money on your computer at first or spend middle ground money 3x over the same course of time. Its a no brainer to be honest.

i got a i9 9900k gtx1080ti extreme edition but getting a rtx3090 when they become more available in uk and 16gb ram gotta be careful when upgrading different parts to make sure they dont bottlekneck your pc and reduce performance i usually run 1 setup for a good 5+years then upgrade the whole lot

Thats the mistake i made by only getting the 2070. The 3790k bottlenecks it

for mx sim, and if you wanted to build a PC around playing sim. Get an Intel Processor. Mx Sim runs off of your processor and only one core. Intel has the best Single core performance as opposed to AMD. GPU doesn't matter for sim at all honestly.

You are going to want to build one. It is super easy, like a big lego set and a 15 minute youtube video will walk you right through it. You literally can't even plug anything into the wrong place because everything is keyed. Check out the Build A PC Subreddit or even the Cabal of the Buildsmiths subreddit and they will pick the parts for you. The tool that everyone uses to pick the parts is PCpartpicker which has handy price charting and compatibility filters and such. I dont recommend a pre built its really a waste.

I have the exact same setup as bh and run 150+ Fps most of the time on sim.

I actually just put together a $900 system, let me know if you need help. If you want to build yourself it's not hard. Otherwise just buy a prebuilt, they've gotten better in terms of price in recent years.
Hit up https://pcpartpicker.com/ they have other peoples builds that you can look at and tweak any components then buy from the site with the best price. That "great AMD gaming build" for $960 on the front page would be perfect for you. Or click view build guides to check out other builds. ~$950 Would save you some cash for peripherals as well.

Also if you can afford a 1440p 144hz monitor I'd highly recommend it. It's buttery smooth and much more immersive when you play shooters and stuff.

My bad, memory wasnt the greatest since i havent played it in a few pandemic months ( which is like... 12 years). Point being, the setup is fine, you don’t need a $500+ gpu to run that game
