That crash sucks! the brown fog is a dirty lens though. notice how it stays in the center of the frame no matter where the camera goes?

It just struck a nerve that everyone was getting duped. I knew it wasn't real, and have the tools to prove it. It's a really cool effect, but there are many edits in there. Just download a few frames and zoom in. btw: I spent way too much time on this.

I still don't believe it's faked, and believe me, I'm not one that is easily duped. Check the 9/11 threads, the moon landing threads, the JFK threads, etc etc etc. Smile If you could find the original 2 videos that you think were merged I would change my mind. Smile

This is the last frame before the color of the bike and rider turn dark. Look what he did with the brake lights, and the blocks around the rider's shirt. That should be enough.

I don't see anything other than video artifacts. That's how UFOs are born. Hey, maybe it's bigfoot on the bike and the car is really a UFO with George Bush driving with a trunk load of thermite on his way to WTC. Smile

No, I extracted all the frames out of the high rez video.
Real Player allows you to download a lot of the videos from Youtube. It works on Internet Explorer and possibly Firefox but not Chrome. Once you begin to play the video, a download video button appears above the window. It's worth installing.

So, I downloaded the video.
Then dragged it into Adobe After Effects, then rendered it out as a sequence of frames. I posted a portion of the sequence on the first page. The second set are from the high rez video.

What you're seeing around the taillight and around the riders shirt are not compression artifacts, they're edits. you can see this because there are a lot of hard edges, and they're only in certain places, not throughout the frame.

If you right click the high rez images to your hard drive and open them and zoom in, you'll see that the frames prior don't have the blocks.

Just zoom in on the images around frames 11 and 12 where the color of the rider and bike pop and you'll see what's been edited and what hasn't.

I saw a lot of issues with the frames of the video, I'm not going to go through them all. I've spent way too much time on this already. If he blended it better, and cleaned things up it would have been hard to tell, but he wasn't actually that good.
The effect is great though.

I use Download Helper in Firefox (in Linux) to download videos. I still don't believe they are edited and have seen crappy cameras (like what might be mounted on the dash of some Russkie's car) produce some crazy stuff. If someone spent that much time to create this fake then someone would surely be wanting to take credit for it. I just don't buy it, without more proof than that. Smile

By the way, I just went ahead and downloaded it and watched it in real time and what you are saying looks like the tail light badly edited in that single frame is actually a piece of the bike's fairing flying off.

Watch it with vlc at 1/10th speed in full screen. It's plain as day that it's a piece of fairing that flies off very rapidly to the left. I'm almost certain it's not a fake. Definitely lucky.

The things people point out on here as signs of this video being fake, kind of make me think it is real. Only because these things would be extremely easy to fix digitally, such as a break light, a cross, or the shirt changing color. If you go though all the trouble to make this video and the hard part of the digital fx and that you then would skip the really easy fixes, does not make sense.

Maybe he had a bad bulb or fuse in the tail light. The change in the shirt color was from the shit that was rapidly filling his shorts, engulfing the torso region.

So a cross hanging from the rear view mirror, that is flying around under braking, is proof that the video is fake?

What exactly is fake? The rider standing on the car? The accident? The whole video?
